Race 2 - ABALUS (5)
ABALUS has finished second in her last five starts. She showed good speed last time, but found one too good in the form of La Valliere. The daughter of Jackson should enjoy the drop back to 1000m and with Lyle Hewitson in the saddle, she should shed her maiden tag.
Race 4 - ICY NIGHT (9)
ICY NIGHT produced two decent efforts before given a 12-week break. The daughter of What A Winter tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. If not in need of the run, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 5 - NICE MOVE (7)
NICE MOVE produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on this course. She was slow into stride, understandably raced green but finished her race off well. The daughter of Visionaire would have gained from the experience and should love the extra distance on offer. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.
Race 6 - JOE HARMAN (1)
JOE HARMAN has shown good improvement in his last two starts. He lost two lengths at the start last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Master Of My Fate is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. In this type of field, he should shed his maiden tag. He is carded to race on 26 August 2021 and his progress in that race will need to be followed.
Race 7 - LINGANOMORE (3)
LINGANOMORE ran a decent race on debut over 1400m. She raced green, but stayed on nicely at the business end. The daughter of Byword would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra 100m on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.
