Race 1 - BIG EYED GIRL (8)
BIG EYED GIRL is a filly taking on the males, but she is the best bet on the day. She produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Turffontein. She found plenty of betting support that day, which suggests that she had been showing good work back at home. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.
Race 2 - WINGS OF NIKE (10)
WINGS OF NIKE produced a promising debut effort over this distance, last week. She showed good pace, but found one too good in the form of Alesian Chief. The daughter of Var would have gained from the experience and should have improvement to come. She takes on her own sex today and may be the one to side with.
Race 3 - MANTERIO (1)
MANTERIO has decent consistent form lines to his credit. He took his chances at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but found one too good in the form of Seattle Beat. It must be noted that there have been multiple winners from that form line. The son of Oratorio does not meet the strongest field today and he should shed his maiden tag.
Race 5 - LADY AMHERST (3)
LADY AMHERST’S last three starts have been good. She raced from a handy position last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Rouge Allure. The daughter of Ideal World takes a drop in class today and with a bit of luck in running, she may be the one to beat.
Race 6 - DEVILISH DANCER (3)
St John Gray holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the winning post. DEVILISH DANCER is much better than her last start at Turffontein. The daughter of Silvano needs a long run-in to give herself time to unwind. She gets the blinkers fitted today which should keep her mind on the task at hand. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena keeps faith in the ride and she can return to winning ways.
