Race 1 - MOYA WA LALIGA (7)
MOYA WA LALIGA was very green on debut over this C&D which cost him winning. He had to overcome the widest draw, was slow into stride but finished his race off strongly. The son of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
Race 3 - MOTOWN MAGIC (4)
MOTOWN MAGIC challenged strongly in his last start over 1600m on this course, but found one too good in the form of Indelible. The son of Uncle Mo will love the rise to the 1800m and should be cherry- ripe. He jumps from a good draw of three and should shed his maiden tag.
Race 5 - SMILEY RIVER (3)
SMILEY RIVER has won her last three starts well. Despite hanging from the 400m mark last time, she got up where it matters most. She was given a two-pound penalty for that victory. The 5yo mare is in a good space and can notch up her fifth career victory.
Race 6 - EVENING RISE (2)
EVENING RISE’S last two starts against stronger company have been decent. She raced from a prominent position over a mile last time and stayed on nicely to finish fourth. Two of her four career victories have come over this distance. The 5yo mare takes a drop in class this afternoon and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 7 - AL MUTHANA (8)
AL MUTHANA returned to best form in impressive fashion over 1450m on this course last time. He quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. The son of Deep Field has plenty of ability and with just 52kgs on his back, he should be the one to beat.
