The 25th running of the Dubai World Cup takes place at Meydan on Saturday, and this lucrative Grade One will close the action on a top-class card. We've taken a look through the card in full and picked out our best bet.

Meydan Tips - Saturday 27th March

Race 2 - Dubai Gold Cup Tips

Subjectivist brings Group One-winning form to the table, and he'll be getting five pounds from the older horses around him in the betting. I just worry that the ground may be a little too quick for Mark Johnston's front-runner, and he could get picked off as the field turn for home.

SECRET ADVISOR is two-from-two here at Meydan, having won a couple of good races during last year's Dubai World Cup carnival. Charlie Appleby's charge finished a neck behind Spanish Mission in the Red Sea Turf last time out, but Secret Advisor was giving his rival four pounds that day, and was forced to take a wide passage throughout.

William Buick and Appleby won this in 2019 with Cross Counter, and this looks the perfect time for Secret Advisor to try his hand at two miles.

Race 5 - Golden Shaheen Tips

Four of the last five renewals of this Grade One have been won by US raiders. So, while there are several strong Japanese challengers, I think it's worth giving another chance to YAUPON.

Steven Asmussen's charge went into the Breeders' Cup Sprint as the firm favourite, having stormed home from the front on his three previous starts. Joel Rosario's charge had to bustle his mount along early after a slightly sluggish start. Just as push came to shove, Yaupon was squashed between three rivals and practically had no chance thereafter.

Rosario won this race twice on Mind Your Biscuits, and he will know that a fast start is vital from stall two. If Yaupon breaks well and grabs the lead, he'll be very hard to peg back.

Race 6 - Dubai Turf Tips

Lord Glitters ran a brilliant race behind Almond Eye in this race two years ago. David O'Meara's eight-year-old has been running brilliantly out in Meydan during this carnival, and beat Al Suhail in the Jebel Hatta last time out.

Being drawn in stall four isn't ideal for a fast closer like Lord Glitters, but he has to be in with a big chance. However, it's the other lord in the field, LORD NORTH who ticks all the boxes for me.

John Gosden's star powered to victory from off the pace at Royal Ascot last season, clocking some seriously impressive closing sectionals. Lord North couldn't repeat that performance in two Grade Ones afterwards. He did run well to place fourth at the Breeders' Cup, considering 12 furlongs around a speed track was always going to stretch his stamina.

I think this trip, and the way the race will likely be run, with suit Lord North perfectly. He can hand Gosden and Frankie Dettori a maiden Dubai Turf.

Race 7 - Sheema Classic Tips

Chrono Genesis has shown a really high level of form in Japan, and deservedly heads the betting. Having given Mishriff a brilliant ride in the Saudi Cup, David Egan retains his spot in the saddle, and John Gosden's star has the quality to win.

As does Mogul, a horse I'm a big fan of. Aidan O'Brien's charge hasn't been drawn well in stall one, so he'll need luck in running to win, but if the gaps appear then Mogul could outmuscle his rivals.

I'm really struggling to pick between the top three, so I'm going to take an each-way punt on WALTON STREET, who broke the track record over this trip when winning the City Of Gold last time out.

William Buick has farmed the Sheema Classic in recent years, winning the last three runnings, and there's no doubting Walton Street is overpriced sitting on 9/1.
