The 2022 Dubai World Cup Carnival rolls into it's third week on Friday. The Zabeel Mile headlines proceedings, with four Listed races building up to Friday's Grade Two feature.

After an excellent first week, my week two selections didn't offer a return. I've taken a look through the full card and picked out four horses to back on week three of the Dubai World Cup Carnival.

Meydan Tips - Friday 28th January

Race 3 - Al Khail Trophy Tips

I tipped Dubai Future up at 10/1 when he scored on week one of this meeting two weeks ago. Saeed Bin Suroor's six-year-old won the Meydan Cup over this distance last year and is greatly respected. He does, however, have to give weight to a field containing several dangerous rivals.

ALIGNAK made his Dubai debut in that race won by Dubai Future two weeks ago. Jamie Osbourne's six-year-old missed the break and had to suffer out the back for most of the race, but stayed on well to finish fifth. Alignak has always had plenty of ability and should have no trouble seeing out this trip. If Saffie can get him out the blocks a bit quicker, I see no reason why he can't run well beyond his odds.

Race 5 - Zabeel Turf Tips

Godolphin runners dominate this handicap and you can see why top-weight, Star Safari is so well fancied. One who I think could be well-treated, though, is Simon Crisford's VINTAGER, who finished fourth as Path Of Thunder won the Zabeel Trophy here three weeks ago.

Vintager was coming back from a decent lay-off that day and, although he never threatened to win, Andrea Atzeni's mount was only beaten three lengths in the end. Crisford has only tried his seven-year-old over ten furlongs a couple of times in his career and he's seemed to handle the trip well. He could be worth a punt at 16s.

It's been a while since we've seen MOUHEB (NAP), who showed he had plenty of ability during 2021. Tom Marquand guided Nicholas Bachalard's charge to victory on his racecourse debut over six furlongs. Mouheb was then beaten a head in the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial before going one better in Dubai's version of that Classic.

Mouheb then took his chance in the UAE Derby on Dubai World Cup night, but didn't look as comfortable over that extended trip and was beaten eight lengths back in fourth. This drop back in trip should certainly suit and, if Richard Mullen's mount is ready to go first time out, he could mount a winning challenge.

With Frankie Dettori out with Covid, Danny Tudhope picks up the spare ride on REAL WORLD, who should take the world of beating.

Saeed Bin Suroor's star failed to win any of his four outings during the 2021 Dubai World Cup Carnival. Real World returns to Meydan having progressed into one of the best milers in the sport,  winning the Royal Hunt Cup, the bet365 Stakes, the Strensall Stakes and the Prix Daniel Wildstern during an unbeaten European campaign.

In both the Strensall Stakes and the Prix Daniel Wildstern, Real World clocked RPRs in the low 120s. None of the other 12 entrants in this grade two have even ventured into the 110s. Even under a four-pound penalty, I'm not expecting Real World to have any problems.
