The card on night four of the Dubai World Cup carnival features two excellent Grade Two races. Viewers also have some intriguing handicaps and the Meydan Trophy to take in on Thursday afternoon.

We've taken a look through Thursday's card and picked out our best betting tips.

Meydan Tips - Thursday 4th February

Race 2 - Mystical Dawn

I'm very surprised to see the disparity between Secret Protector and MYSTICAL DAWN in the current betting.

Mystical Dawn was a high-quality maiden at Newmarket on his only two-year-old start. Secret Protect was beaten in a fairly modest maiden on the all-weather at Kempton, before winning easily as the 1/4 favourite second time out.

Mystical Dawn is rated five pounds higher than his stablemate, and the two clash off level weights. I'm guessing William Buick's decision to ride Secret Protector is factored into their current prices, but on all known form, Mystical Dawn is the most likely winner.

Race 3 - Firnas

The value bet here could be FIRNAS, who's produced the best two performances of his career on his last couple of starts on the Meydan dirt.

After a tricky start to life in Dubai, Firnas has won his last three starts in this stadium. Following a couple of narrow wins, Roysten French's mount bolted up in the Jebel Ali Port, carrying top-weight to a resounding three lengths success.

Things didn't go to plan last time out at Jebel Ali, where the 5/6 favourite could only finish a tired fifth. However, his recent record in Meydan is extremely strong, and he can challenge in this wide-open race.

Race 4 - Kinross

Former Royal Ascot winner, Lord Glitters ran out a convincing winner of the Singspiel Stakes over course-and-distance last month. David O'Meara's eight-year-old relished the fast pace that day, and the overall time of the race was very strong.

This will be a much different race, as there's no recognized front-runner. All of the entrants either like to sit behind the leaders, or fly home from the rear. As this might turn into a real dash for the line late on, I'm going to side with KINROSS, who's shown plenty of natural pace throughout his career.

As Lord Glitters made his move in the Singspiel, Richard Kingscote was forced onto the inside rail, and he has to weave his way home through traffic just to finish sixth. It was still an encouraging display from Ralph Beckett's four-year-old, and he's certainly got the ability to challenge for the win.

Mystical Dawn is surely the wrong price in the Meydan Trophy, and he's fancied to turn over the short-priced favourite.

Firnas and Kinross have both been overlooked in the Grade Two races, and they hold strong each-way claims.
