The last two winners of the Cheveley Park Stakes, Alcohol Free and Millisle both finished second in this Group Three, so Thursday's feature is certainly a race worth watching. We've taken a look through the betting and picking out our best betting tips.

A low draw is often advantageous over six furlongs at Salisbury, and that trend rings true in the Dick Poole, with ten of the last 15 winners coming from stall seven or lower. Only five favorites in that time have managed to win, but fancied horses do often come to the fore, as only three winners have returned a price longer than 9/1.

Pearl Glory puts her unbeaten record on the line, as she bids to hand young trainer Kevin Philippart De Foy his first pattern victory. The Queen's runner, Intelligentsia has a wide draw to overcome, but she made a lovely impression on debut and could throw down a challenge.

Crazyland has been a little overlooked and Clive Cox's filly could run a big race. My preference, though, is for TARDIS, who ran a cracker at Newbury the last day and should take well to this step up in trip.

Michael Bell's filly entered the St Hugh Stakes as an 11/1 shot, despite breaking her duck with an excellent victory at Bath the previous month. Oisin Murphy dropped his mount out the back, and Tardis still five lengths to find as the field entered the final furlong.

Murphy was forced to weave inside from his spot on the outside of the pack, but Tardis picked up in excellent fashion, flying through the gap between Attagirl and Delmona to snatch a narrow victory.

The form of that Listed race has worked out really well in recent weeks. Runner-up Attagirl went one better in another Listed contest during the Ebor Festival, and sixth-placed Flotus won the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Ripon on Monday.

This will be a first run over six furlongs for Tardis. Her dam never stepped up beyond five-furlongs, but her sire, Time Test was a multiple Group-race winner between a mile and ten furlongs, which makes me think this step up in distance could bring about more improvement in this likable young filly.

Michael Bell has won with four of his seven runners at Salisbury this season, and the form of Tardis' Listed win at Newbury is working out really well. For me, she's the one to beat.
