2021 Epsom Oaks Odds - Santa Barbara clear favourite as Saffron Beach comes in for support

In less than two weeks' time, the best filly of her generation will be crowned in the Epsom Oaks. All of the key trials races have been run and the betting is really starting to heat up, so let's take a look through the current Epsom Oaks market.

Despite failing to live up to her exceedingly short price in the 1000 Guineas, Santa Barbara remains the firm favourite to win the Epsom Oaks. Sitting second in the market is fellow Ballydoyle inmate Snowfall, who was cut into 4/1 following her victory in the Musidora Stakes.

The top two from this year's Cheshire Oaks, Dubai Fountain and Zeyaadah sit prominently in the Epsom betting. Teona and Noon Star, who were both beaten by Snowfall at York, can be found at tempting each-way prices.

As can Saffron Beach, who was last seen finishing second - two places ahead of Santa Barbara - in the 1000 Guineas. Jane Chapple-Hyam took her filly to Epsom for a racecourse gallop on Monday and after impressing her trainer, Saffron Beach was cut into 10/1 in the Oaks betting.

“We are confident she will get the mile and a quarter it is just that extra two furlongs is unknown but we believe she will settle and race through it." Chapple-Hyam said to the press.

"Her breeding suggests she has to do to get the trip but all animals are different and she is strong and powerful and relaxed and well balanced. We are just here to give it a go. It is a big thrill to be part of this so let’s hope we can go there and do the best.”

Sea Empress, Twisted Reality and Shale have been supported in recent days. Lingfield Trials winner, Sherbet Lemon could run at Epsom, as could Snow Lantern, Divinely and Ocean Road.
