The first major meeting in September takes place at Haydock Park, where the Sprint Cup headlines the card. This six-furlong contest has been won by sprinting legends like Be Friendly, Moorestyle and Danehill down the years and it's one of this season's stars who currently dominates the Haydock betting.

Shaquille shocked everyone when winning the Commonwealth Cup after a dreadful start to the race. Julie Camacho's star followed up with an impressive victory in the July Cup and most bookmakers list Camacho as the clear 6/4 favourite.

Frankie Dettori's mount Kinross could drop back down in distance, following seven-furlong victories at Goodwood and York. Sacred was only fifth behind Kinross in the City Of York, but William Haggas' filly could also return to the trip that she ran so well over at Royal Ascot.

Azure Blue sits fairly prominently in the market, despite a disappointing sixth in the July Cup. Karl Burke could be represented by Spycatcher. William Haggas' Sense Of Duty could make her seasonal reappearance in this Group One.

Regional could step back up in distance following a solid fifth in the Nunthorpe. If Kinross isn't declared, then Frankie Dettori could ride Ralph Beckett's Lezoo. Shock July Cup runner-up, Run To Freedom looks likely to take up his Sprint Cup entry, along with Prix Maurice de Gheest third Saint Lawrence.

Other possible runners at Haydock include Summer Stakes winner Swingalong, multiple Group Two winner Art Power, Royal Ascot hero Khaadem and Charlie Hill's sprinter, Garrus.
