Friday's card at Newmarket's July Festival is headlined by the Falmouth Stakes. During its 110-year history, many of flat racing's finest fillies and mares have won this Group One, and viewers can look forward to a thrilling renewal this year.

We've taken a look through the form and picked out our best betting tips.

Alcohol Free proved her one-mile stamina when winning the Coronation Stakes on heavy ground at Ascot. Snow Lantern finished well to place second that day, ahead of 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth, and the three renew rivalries here.

Primo Bacio was a late withdrawal when the ground turned heavy at Ascot, and she'll make her Group One debut on Friday. Pretty Gorgeous ran her second poor race of the season at Ascot and has plenty of ground to make up. Saffron Beach drops back to a mile after running in the Epsom Oaks. Illykato and Just Beautiful also represent the three-year-olds.

Indie Angel stormed home to beat Lady Bowthorpe, Queen Power, Champers Elysees and Lavendar's Blue in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Ascot. All five now step up to Group One company, and they'll have to give nine pounds to their younger rivals.

In recent years, older horses have outperformed the three-year-olds at the July Festival, winning eight of the last 15 renewals of the Falmouth. However, horses older than four have a very weak record - which is a big negative for Lady Bowthorpe, Queen Power and Lavendar's Blue.

Alcohol Free had the beating of Snow Lantern and Mother Earth in the Coronation Stakes. Snow Lantern was doing the best work at the line that day, and the three are very closely matched. Any of them could come out on top on any given day. At their current prices, I'd probably side with Mother Earth, as she really seemed to relish good ground in the Guineas.

PRIMO BACIO was my selection ahead of the Coronation Stakes. I didn't see much early pace in the race and felt, if it turned into a sprint to the line, Ed Walker's filly would have the finishing kick to beat anyone. Sadly, after the ground switched from good-to-firm to heavy in the space of 24 hours, Primo Bacio was withdrawn.

At York, Primo Bacio simply blew away Creative Flair and Snow Lantern with devastating late speed. Creative Flair's form is looking rock-solid and Snow Lantern has since placed in a Group One. Primo Bacio beat them by three and five lengths respectively at York, which tells you what a fantastic performance that was.

Conditions on Friday, baring anything biblical again, will be much more to Primo Bacio's liking and once again, I'm struggling to see where the early pace is going to come from. Alcohol Free found the best turn-of-foot on heavy ground at Ascot. On quicker ground, I fancy Primo Bacio will take all the beating if the race is run to suit.

I didn't get the chance to back Primo Bacio at Royal Ascot, and I don't want to miss out this time around. She'll be my selection at 6/1.
