For the second year in a row, Auguste Rodin will carry the tag of favouritism into Saturday's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Aidan O'Brien's star went into last year's contest on the back of wins in the Epsom and Irish Derby. However, in a shocking twist, the favourite was the first horse beaten as Hukum and Westover fought out a thrilling finish.

Auguste Rodin bounced back by winning the Irish Champion Stakes and the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita in November. Following a solid reappearance run at the Curragh, Ryan Moore's mount banished his Ascot hoodoo by claiming a hard-fought victory in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes during the Royal meeting.

Moore's mount will be accompanied in Saturday's race by stablemates Luxembourg and Hans Anderson, who should ensure that Auguste Rodin has an honest pace to aim at. Aidan O'Brien's star will wear the number one saddle cloth on Saturday, and the favourite has been handed an inside draw in stall two.
