The feature race at Gulfstream Park on Saturday is the Pegasus World Cup. This race was once one of the world's richest, with $12m and $16m prize pots on offer for it's first two runnings. That prize pool has dropped down to just $3m in recent years, and the quality of the field has lessened as a result.

Here's a look through the current Pegasus World Cup betting and a rundown of the most likely runners.

The favourite to claim Grade One glory on Saturday is Bob Baffert's National Treasure, who won the Preakness Stakes last season before being touched off by Cody's Wish at the Breeders' Cup. Sitting second in the market is First Mission, who progressed nicely during a low-key three-year-old campaign for Brad Cox.

Skippylongstockings will renew rivalries with National Treasure, having finished a place behind his rival in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. Saffie Joseph Jnr will also be represented by O'Connor, who was last seen beating another of Saturday's runners, Grand Aspen in the Holiday Stakes here at Gulfstream in October.

The top three from last month's Cigar Mile Handicap, Hoist The Gold, Senor Buscador and Castle Chaos will step up to Grade One company. As will dual-Listed winner Crupi, who'll be ridden by Frankie Dettori.

Other Pegasus World Cup runners include Antonio Sano's Il Miracolo, Trademark for Victoria Oliver, another Todd Pletcher runner in Dynamic One and Nimitz Class, who'll be having his first start for trainer George Weaver.
