The Melbourne Spring Carnival is the biggest racing carnival in Australia and it features the Melbourne Cup as the main attraction.
Spanning the months of August through to the end of November, the Melbourne Carnival is an iconic celebration of racing and horses, trainers and jockeys from all around the world come to compete.
The first Group 1 on the card is the Memsie Stakes on September 1 and the official end of the carnival is with the Sandown Classic meeting on November 17, but the end of the Melbourne Cup Carnival on November 10 is when the big racing ends.
