The Leopardstown Christmas Festival concludes on Monday afternoon. The Grade One December Hurdle headlines another excellent card, which also features a Grade Two Mares Hurdle and several valuable handicaps.

Here are our best betting tips for day four of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

12:47pm Leopardstown - Novice Handicap Hurdle Tips

A fascinating handicap, where GIVE HIM A CHANCE (10/1) could go well for Phil Rothwell. Rothwell's six-year-old found his form over the summer, winning at Kilbeggan and Killarney before a decent third at Listowel's Harvest Festival.

Give Him A Chance then travelled over to Cheltenham, and stayed on well to place second behind Lavender Hill Mob on what I thought would be unsuitably soft ground. Rothwell's charge was then given too much to do in testing conditions at Navan earlier this month, but finished off his race better than most to record a top five finish.

Tiernan Power Roche comes in to take five pounds off Give Him A Chance's back on Monday, and ground conditions at Leopardstown should be much more to his liking.

1:57pm Leopardstown - Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase Tips

UNION STATION (17/2) made his handicap debut in the Dublin National here at Leopardstown in March. Gavin Cromwell's six-year-old travelled into the race nicely from the rear and jumped the last in the lead, only to get run down by the talented Brandt - who was getting over a stone from the runner-up at the weights.

Cromwell's six-year-old started back this season in another Beginners Chase, finishing a distant second behind Bossofthebrownies - who has since gone close in a Grade Two Novice Chase. Cromwell then threw his maiden into the Troytown at Navan, but Union Station struggled in that company and was pulled up well before the end.

Back in much calmer waters on Monday, and with talented claimer Eoin Staples in the saddle, I expect Union Station will give a much better account of himself. This looks like an excellent opportunity to claim the first victory of his career.

3:05pm Leopardstown - Neville Hotels Premier Handicap Hurdle Tips

It seems that Noel Meade has targeted this race with the returning BLUE MOSQUE (15/2), who won first time out in her bumper and over hurdles last term.

Meade's mare spent most of last season bumping into good rivals in decent races. Blue Mosque finished second to Disco Dancer, Tareze and Cardcounter when carrying a penalty in further novice hurdles, and rounded off her campaign with an excellent second behind Kaid d'Authie in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.

Blue Mosque had to muscle her way between fading horses to take aim at Kaid d'Authie that day, but the leader just had a little too much class in the closing stages. Blue Mosque returns to handicap company running off a lovely mark, and her jockey, Sam Ewing has enjoyed an excellent Christmas Festival thus far.
