2026 Stewards' Cup Ante-Post Tips - Hannon's handicapper a good bet at 20/1
The 2026 Stewards' Cup at Glorious Goodwood is drawing significant attention with 84 sprinters still in the mix. Our ante-post tip highlights Fandom, an in-form runner boasting solid performances this season and good experience at Goodwood. Fandom's consistency and current mark of 99 suggest room for improvement, especially if fast ground prevails. The article recommends backing Fandom each way, citing his adaptability and hardy racing attitude as reasons he could outperform his current odds.

Here's our ante-post selection for the Stewards' Cup, which headlines the final day of Glorious Goodwood.
84 sprinters remain in the running for this hugely valuable handicap, and viewers look set for another sensational renewal on August 1st. Today, I've taken a look through the entries and picked out an in-form sprinter who appears to be overpriced in the Glorious Goodwood betting.
2026 Stewards' Cup Ante-Post Tip - Fandom
When it comes to the Stewards' Cup, strong seasonal form is very important. Even horses who have returned at lengthy prices have performed well during the same campaign - with the exception of Commanche Falls, who managed to retain his crown despite three fairly poor runs earlier that season.
A mark in the high 90s may be required just to get into this top-quality handicap. Horses rated around 100 could still be carrying a decent weight if the likes of Regional and Aramram stand their ground.
FANDOM (20/1) is a horse I could see running a big race. Richard Hannon's recruit made his stable debut over five furlongs here in May, before placing at York and scoring at Thirsk after finishing sixth at Goodwood.
Sean Levey's mount then attempted to make all from stall one in the Wokingham, only fading out of contention entering the final furlong. Fandom could only finish fourth at Windsor nine days later, and was last seen back over five furlongs at Ascot, staying on well to finish third behind the excellent Dubai Bling.
This stocky son of Showcasing started his career in the USA, winning sprints for Wesley Ward and Brad Cox, before a brief stint with Joseph O'Brien. Fandom then represented Olly Murphy in two sprints at St Moritz in February, losing narrowly on both occasions, and has maintained that solid form since joining Hannon's operation.
This hardy sprinter takes his racing well and has shown a great attitude throughout a busy campaign. Fandom handled Goodwood well on his stable debut here in May, and looks set to carry around 9-00 off his current mark of 99. I still think there's some room for improvement from that rating, and fast ground during Glorious Goodwood would be ideal for this consistent sprinter.
Verdict
Fandom is our ante-post selection in the 2026 Stewards Cup.
