Mr Vango heads the betting for Saturday's Becher Chase. Sara Bradstock's top chaser would be somewhat of a trend-buster if he won, seeing as he'll travel to Aintree fresh, won last time out, carries 12-00 and has never stepped foot on the Grand National course before.
Iron Bridge was my selection before this race was cancelled 12 months ago. He'll return to Aintree on the back of a reappearance second at Carlisle, but the O'Neill stable has been under a cloud of late, and I'm not prepared to risk Iron Bridge again - despite his tempting price.

2025 Becher Chase Tip - White Rhino
Five of the first nine across the line in last month's Grand Sefton will line up in Saturday's feature at Aintree. Ninth that day was WHITE RHINO (8/1), but I think there's every chance Craig Nichol's mount will improve massively for that seasonal reappearance.
Sean Bowen positioned White Rhino right at the back from the get-go on his first spin around the National course. Bowen's mount was badly hampered at the fourth fence, and there was no real attempt to bridge the deficit, and White Rhino crossed the line some 21 lengths adrift of Colonel Harry.
Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero's nine-year-old secured impressive wins on his first two chase starts last season, earning himself a crack at the Kauto Star Novices' Chase. White Rhino unseated Henry Brooke early in that Grade One, and the two barely featured before pulling up on their final outing of the season in the Grimthorpe Chase.
White Rhino should strip fitter for his reappearance in the Grand Sefton, and the handicapper has dropped his mark by four pounds down to 137. I'm confident that this extended trip will suit White Rhino better, and experience over the National fences is often invaluable
Verdict
White Rhino is my selection for the 2025 Becher Chase.
