Long Distance Cup Trendsetter - Trawlerman
A fairly obvious one, given that TRAWLERMAN Is the 1/2 favourite. John and Thady Gosden's Ascot Gold Cup winner looks to have the field covered here, and William Buick's mount ticks off all nine of the recurring trends.
Champions Sprint Trends
- 10 of the last 10 winners were between three and six years old

Champions Sprint Trendsetter - Big Mojo
Obviously, we can't trick of the draw trend yet, as the stalls will be confirmed tomorrow, but BIG MOJO seems to have a strong chance. Mick Appleby's star claimed a deserved victory in the Sprint Cup on his most recent start and Tom Marquand's mount boasts winning form around Ascot from earlier in the season.
Lazzat is let down by the fact that he finished fifth in the Sprint Cup. Kind Of Blue is yet to win this season, but ticks off all of the remaining trends.

Champion Fillies' & Mares' Stakes Trends
- 10 of the last 10 winners had run at least three times that season

Champion Fillies' & Mares' Stakes Trendsetter - Estrange and Wemighttakedlongway
ESTRANGE is currently the 3/1 favourite for Saturday's renewal, and looks to have plenty going in her favour. David O'Meara's filly only failed to tick off the age trend, but fulfils every other category outlined above.
Joseph O'Brien's three-year-old, WEMIGHTTAKEDLONGWAY only falls short in the price category. Dylan Browne McMonagle's mount won a Group Three earlier in the season, and has finished no worse that fourth in four starts at Group One level since.
Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Trends
- 10 of the last 10 winners had run in the last 49 days
- 10 of the last 10 winners were drawn in stall six or wider
- 9 of the last 10 winners had run at least three times that season
- 9 of the last 10 winners had won that season
- 9 of the last 10 winners finished 1st or 2nd last time out
- 8 of the last 10 winners were rated 115 or above
- 8 of the last 10 winners returned an SP of 5/1 or shorter
- 7 of the last 10 winners had previously won at Group One or Group Two level
- 7 of the last 10 winners were three years old
Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Trendsetter - Marvelman
Three multiple Group One winners top this betting heat. However, Field Of Gold (No recent run and fourth last time out), Rosallion (Four-year-old and winless this season), and Fallen Angel (Four-year-old and longer than 5/1) fail to tick off two of the recurring trends.
MARVELMAN is only let down by his current double-figure price. Andrew Balding's three-year-old earned a rating of 115 following an emphatic Group Two success at Doncaster, and seems ready for the step up in trip. You can see why connections have opted to supplement for the QEII.

Champion Stakes Trends
- 9 of the last 10 winners had previously won at Group One or Group Two level
- 9 of the last 10 winners had won that season
- 9 of the last 10 winners had run at least three times that season
- 9 of the last 10 winners had previously won over 10 furlongs or further
- 8 of the last 10 winners returned an SP of 10/1 or shorter
- 7 of the last 10 winners were rated 120 or above
- 6 of the last 10 winners were four years old or older
- 5 of the last 10 winners finished 1st or 2nd last time out
Champion Stakes Trendsetter - Ombudsman and Calandagan
Anmaat was very much a trend-buster in this contest 12 months ago. He did, however, continue the excellent run that older horses have had in the Champion Stakes.
OMBUDSMAN and CALANDAGAN, as four-year-olds, might have an edge over Delacroix. Both bring course-winning form to the table, having won the Prince Of Wales's Stakes and King George respectively, and both come into Champions Day on the back of impressive victories.
