ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 19th September
1:02pm Newbury - World Trophy Stakes Tips
FIRST INSTINCT (7/1) got the better of Shagraan to win this five-furlong sprint 12 months ago, and William Haggas' filly seems overpriced as she returns to defend her crown.
First Instinct hasn't managed to win since her World Trophy success, finishing down the field in the Abbaye, the Palace House Stakes and the King Charles III Stakes. Cieren Fallon's mount did run a cracker in the Summer Stakes at York, losing out by just a neck to the classy Flora Of Bermuda.
Like last year, First Instinct suffered a four-length defeat in her prep run for Newbury in the Ballyogan Stakes. She'll be much happier over this shorter distance, and plenty of pace has been drawn around the defending champion in stall five.
1:20pm Ayr - Ladbrokes Handicap Tips
THEORYOFEVERYTHING (16/1) seems to have plenty going for him in the opener at Ayr. David O'Meara's grey claimed his second victory over this course and distance on his penultimate start and was only beaten a length when second to Thunder Roar off a mark of 94 in this race last season.
Jason Hart's mount attempted to make all on his first crack at ten furlongs at Beverley three weeks ago and didn't see out the extended distance under 10-2. Theoryofeverything is drawn nicely to adopt similar tactics over this more suitable eight-furlong trip, and O'Meara's gelding is rated four pounds lower than when second 12 months ago.
1:37pm Newbury - Autumn Cup Handicap Tips
Fancied horses have a poor record in the Autumn Cup, which has encouraged me to take a punt on one of the outsiders. CIRCUS OF ROME (33/1) showed some good form last season, winning over a mile and a half here at Newbury before solid efforts over this distance at Haydock and Ascot in the autumn.
Richard Hughes attempted to lay his star out for the Northumberland Plate during the first half of this season, but Finley Marsh lost his position at a crucial stage at Newcastle and Circus Of Rome didn't really see out the two-mile trip. Hughes' four-year-old was then barely involved in the Ebor, but this is a much easier race and Circus Of Rome's mark has dropped by four pounds over the course of the season.
1:55pm Ayr - Doonside Cup Tips
FAST TRACKER (5/1) is a very interesting runner in this contest. Ed Walker's recruit bolted up in two Listed races for Henri Pantall back in 2024 and even went into that year's Prix du Jockey Club as the favourite, but was well beaten in that Classic and suffered a setback at the end of the season.
Fast Tracker finished last in the Prix Altipan on his return from a 500-day absence in March. He then made his British debut in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood, where he got off to an awful start and encountered problem after problem in running before surging home to finish third behind the impressive Zavateri.
All of Fast Tracker's best French form came over ten furlongs, so stepping up in distance will certainly suit. Ground conditions should be ideal, and James Doyle takes the ride.

2:30pm Ayr - Ayr Silver Cup Tips
The last two renewals of the Silver Cup have been won by three-year-olds, and ADVERTISED (25/1) has landed a kind low draw in stall six.
Grant Tuer's gelding claimed his sole victory over seven furlongs as a juvenile, but has steadily dropped in trip since then. Advertised ran a cracker behind Sovereign Spell at Newmarket earlier in the season, and was narrowly beaten by the well-handicapped Eternal Sunshine on his penultimate start at Hamilton.
Oliver Stammers' mount always seemed to be travelling out of his comfort zone in the Be Friendly Handicap 14 days ago, and couldn't find a change of gear when finishing sixth. The time seems right for Tuer to step his three-year-old back up to six furlongs, and Advertised is handicapped well-enough to challenge.
2:47pm Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Handicap Tips
Before course specialist Mustazeed won the last two renewals, this ten-furlong handicap was dominated by younger horses, with 17 of the previous 18 renewals going the way of three- or four-year-olds. Ralph Beckett has won it a couple of times too, and I fancy GONNA FLY (17/2) to go close in Saturday's renewal.
Beckett's colt won his novice here at Newbury last October and scored again at Windsor earlier this season. After a couple of tame efforts in handicaps, Gonna Fly ran a lovely race at Sandown three weeks ago, finishing fourth having been trapped wide for much of the contest.
Gonna Fly remains on the same mark, ground conditions should be fine, and Rossa Ryan's mount is drawn close to the pace in stall three. That Sandown handicap was a much stiffer test than the one he faces on Saturday, so I'd be disappointed if Gonna Fly doesn't challenge for the win.
3:05pm Ayr - Firth Of Clyde Stakes Tips
SILENT BEAUTY (7/4) could take a whole heap of beating in this Group Three. Kevin Philippart De Foy's filly has bolted up on her two previous starts on juicy ground, winning well on debut at Yarmouth before a three-length demolition job in the Champion Two Yrs Old Trophy Stakes at Ripon.
The only blemish on Silent Beauty's CV came at Royal Ascot, where she was well beaten on a fast surface in the Albany Stakes. Back on more favourable ground at Ripon, David Egan's mount dominated, flattening the previously unbeaten Rogue Jewel to open her account at Pattern level.
Silent Beauty's dam placed in Group One company on heavy ground, so even softer going at Ayr should be right up her street. There are a couple of lurking dangers behind her in the betting, but I still think Silent Beauty will prove extremely hard to beat.
