Hong Kong Racing Tips & Predictions
Hong Kong is a horse racing-mad country and it hosts some of the biggest thoroughbred races in the world.
There's only two tracks in Hong Kong (Happy Valley and Sha Tin) with Sha Tin hosting every Group 1 of the year.
Due to not running throughout the winter, the premier racing isn't as spread out as some other countries and that makes for an exciting season.
Sha Tin once had 80,000 people turn up to its first trial meeting of the season and that atmosphere is loved by punters all around the world.
The are Group 1 races throughout the autumn, spring and summer periods but the International Meeting in December is where the world stars are on show.
International Meeting at Sha Tin
The International Meeting features four of the biggest Group 1 races in the world and is the highlight of Asian racing.
Held at Sha Tin in December, all four Group 1 races are heavily bet on by punters and considering the talent on display, we're not surprised at the record betting pools each and every year.
The 10-race card has some good betting races but punters target the four Group 1 races:
- Hong Kong Cup
- Hong Kong Mile
- Hong Kong Vase
- Hong Kong Sprint
