Sha Tin racecourse stages its biggest meeting of the season on Sunday. Three Group One races headline the action, including the lucrative QEII Cup. A quality field will contest the Chairman's Sprint, before Golden Sixty carries a very short price into the Champions Mile.

We've taken a closer look at the three Group One races at Sha Tin on Sunday and picked up our best Hong Kong racing tips.

Race 1 - Chairman's Sprint Prize Tips

Wellington brings the strongest recent form to the table and enters this Grade One as the worthy favourite. However, on their day, the likes of Sky Field, Lucky Patch, Hot King Prawn and Sight Success have proven themselves as top-notch sprinters. Even the likes of Computer Patch, Super Wealthy and Master Eight - who have been disappointing in recent starts - are more than capable of mounting a strong challenge.

You could run this Group One eight times and get eight different winners. It really is that open. It'll all come down to who breaks best, finds the perfect position and gets that vital bit of luck in running.

At the prices, I'll back STRONGER at an each-way price. Doug Whyte's five-year-old missed the break and struggled to get involved last time out. Before that run, CY Ho's mount beat Sky Field to land the Group One Centenary Cup. If he can bounce back to that form, then there's no reason why Stronger can't challenge for another big-race victory.

Race 2 - FWD Champions Mile Tips

The biggest upset in horse racing history occurred here at Sha Tin in January, when 1/100 favourite Golden Sixty was shockingly beaten in the Stewards' Cup by Waikuku. CY Ho's mount was then beaten again over ten furlongs in the Gold Cup, but bounced back to winning form by defeating Russian Emperor in the Chairman's Trophy three weeks ago.

Golden Sixty will be the long odds-on favourite once again. Yet, those defeats prove that Hong Kong racing's highest-rated horse is by no means infallible, so I'll take the favourite on with CHAMPION'S WAY at a lengthy price.

Jonh Size's six-year-old won the Nam Wan Handicap here in March and was staying on powerfully when fourth in the Chairman's Trophy. With eight runners in the field, your bookie might be paying out on three places, so an each-way punt on Champion's Way could prove profitable.

Race 3 - FWD QEII Cup Tips

Russian Emporer surged clear to hand Golden Sixty a sound thrashing in the Gold Cup here in February, Doug Whyte's five-year-olds comes into this Group One on the back of four excellent runs and should be hard to beat. Yet, Russian Emporer has only managed to win three times in 18 career starts, so he can hardly be described as a serial winner.

The same can't be said for ROMANTIC WARRIOR, who has only been beaten once in seven career starts. That loss came in the Hong Kong Classic Cup in February, where Karis Teetan gave the front-running California Spangle far too much rope and his late charge was only good enough for fourth.

In the Hong Kong Derby last time out, Romantic Warrior turned the tables on California Spangle to claim the biggest victory of his short career. Danny Shum's four-year-old will have to up his game as he enters open company for the first time, but I fancy he will give Russian Emperor something to think about.

Romantic Warrior is our best bet of the day in the QEII Cup. We're also backing Stronger and Champion's Way at each way prices.
