Justin Snaith is certain that his four-year-old will bounce back after a couple of poor runs, and the fact that he carried a bottom-weight of 52kg is a massive plus. Crack Australian jockey Zac Lloyd takes the ride, and he has an affinity with South African racing, as his father Jeff Lloyd was a multiple champion jockey on our shores.

Viva's Liberte (Now 6/1)

Candice Bass is no stranger to the Durban July winner's enclosure, and her colt VIVA'S LIBERTE has been the subject of sustained support over the past week or so.

Viva's Liberte has been racing against all of the top three-year-olds this season, and is expected to improve again for this step up in distance. Jockey Craig Zackey will be looking to make it two Durban July wins in a row, having pounced aboard The Real Prince 12 months ago. Off a weight of just 53kg, Viva's Liberte clearly has a strong chance.
