Race 1 - LEMON PEPPER (6)
LEMON PEPPER has produced three good efforts to date. She showed good speed last time and stayed on nicely at the finish. She was reported to have over-reached that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The daughter of Louis The King tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She does not meet the strongest field and should be hard to peg back.
Race 3 - CLETO (1)
CLETO ran a good race when finishing second in his local debut over 1400m on the turf. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of Captain Of All tries the mile for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should go one better.
Race 4 - HIGHWAY STAR (1)
HIGHWAY STAR has shown good improvement in his last two starts over 1900m on this course. He flyjumped at the start last time, but fought hard all the way to the line. The son of Querari is having his second run after a rest today and from his good draw of three, he should be too good for this field.
Race 5 - ANCIENT TIMES (2)
ANCIENT TIMES has been ultra-impressive in his last two victories over this C&D. He set the pace last time and won a lot easier than the official margin suggests. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Querari meets a similar type of field today and he should notch up the hat-trick.
Race 8 - FORWARD MARCH (2)
FORWARD MARCH stayed on nicely to finish fourth over this C&D against stronger company last time. The daughter of Pathfork is having her second run after a rest today and should strip much fitter. She takes a drop back in class this afternoon and from pole position, she may be the one to side with.
