The 2025 filly's Classics offer exciting prospects with Aidan O’Brien’s Bubbling being a strong contender for the 1000 Guineas. After a successful season and a solid win at Newmarket, her potential for Guineas victory is noteworthy. Additionally, Ralph Beckett’s Revoir is drawing attention for the Epsom Oaks. Having impressed with an easy debut win at Nottingham, she promises improvement over longer distances, with potential Classic quality strides expected under Beckett's guidance. Her upcoming performances in pre-Oaks trials will be critical.

Early tips for the two filly's Classics in 2025, the 1000 Guineas and the Epsom Oaks.

Yesterday, I published my early tips for the 2000 Guineas and the Epsom Derby. Today, the fillys take centre stage. Here are two horses to take a closer look at in the 1000 Guineas and the Epsom Oaks.

2025 1000 Guineas Tips - Bubbling

Aidan O'Brien boasts a fantastic record in the 1000 Guineas, but it's hard to tell who his number one contender is for this year's renewal.

Lake Victoria would have been the most likely candidate, but O'Brien said recently that she might not be fit in time for Newmarket. Fairy Godmother hasn't been seen since her miraculous victory at Royal Ascot. Falling Snow only ran once in a maiden last term. Exactly and Bedtime Story ran against each other throughout last season and both look likely to take their chance in the 1000 Guineas.

As would BUBBLING (25/1), who finished fourth behind Exactly on her racecourse debut at Leopardstown last July. O'Brien's filly then went into the Ingabelle Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend on the back of a runaway maiden success at the Galway Festival, but endured a torrid passage through that Listed contest and Ryan Moore pulled off a masterstroke just to get her to finish third.

Bubbling was then backed into favouritism before the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket in September. Punters might have been worried when Moore was hard at work on his mount going into the dip, but Bubbling responded brilliantly and was striding clear of the field when she hit the line a two-length winner.

In Aidan O'Brien's pre-season stable tour, he said that Bubbling could go straight to the 1000 Guineas, given she's already won at the track. Her full-brother, Witchita was beaten a neck by Kameko in the 2020 2000 Guineas and the way Bubbling finished off her races last season gives me hope that she might be able to go one better than her sibling.

2025 Epsom Oaks Tips - Revoir

Ralph Beckett seemed to have a hatful of winning debutantes every week during the autumn. One of those was REVOIR (33/1), who made a winning start over a mile at Nottingham in October.

As all of the fillies around her started to come off the bridle, Rossa Ryan was still sitting quietly in Revoir's saddle. Once Ryan unleashed the favourite, she swept to the front in a matter of strides and while she may not have asserted that strongly late on - I fancy the heavy ground might have been a little soft for her liking - she still won very easily.

Revoir is a half-sister to Kingman filly Remarquee, who reached a mark after being touched off in the Coronation Stakes last term. This filly is by Study Of Man, who seems to pour plenty of stamina into his progeny, so I'd be surprised if Revoir didn't improve plenty over middle distances in 2025.

Apart from being one of my favourite trainers, Beckett is a wizard with fillies and he's twice saddled the winner of the Epsom Oaks. I expect Revoir will take in either the Cheshire Oaks or the Lingfield Oaks Trial, and her performance there will dictate whether she's of Classic quality.

Verdict

Bubbling is our early fancy for the 2025 1000 Guineas.

We've also backed Revoir for the 2025 Epsom Oaks.
