Betting on runners drawn in barriers 2-8 is the best strategy. No runner from the inside draw has placed in the last 10 years, so avoid runners that are likely to get stuck on the rails.
You can't go past betting on the big stables. It's rare to see the smaller stables win the 1000 Guineas, so look for the popular fillies to bet on.
The 1000 Guineas is run at Newmarket over 1609m and it's the second British Classic race of the year.
Bettors are treated to two days of Guineas' action with the 1000 Guineas being run a day after the 2000 Guineas.
Seeing as only a handful of fillies have won the 2000 Guineas, the 1000 Guineas is the preferred option for most trainers and bettors get to see the best female thoroughbreds run against their own sex.
Past champions include some great names, but the big breeding barns have dominated the race in recent history.
1000 Guineas betting selections & tips
We will have expert tips for the 1000 Guineas available when the final-field markets are released by bookmakers.
Guineas races are often targeted by the breeding stables and those are the stables to follow when betting on the 1000 Guineas.
Coolmore, Ballymore and Godolphin have all had good success in the Sunday feature and bettors shouldn't look past these big-named stables.

1000 Guineas history
The 1000 Guineas was first run in 1814 when the Bill Clift-trained Charlotte was successful.
Trainer Robert Robson, who raced horses for the 4th Duke of Grafton, dominated the race in the early editions.
The pair won nine 1000 Guineas' in 10 years before the run came to an end in 1828 when Bobby Pettit won with Zoe.
In more recent times the 1000 Guineas has been taken out by the big breeding barns. Coolmore Stud, Godolphin, Ballymore and other leading UAE-operated studs have taken top honours.
The team of Magnier, Tabor and Smith won the 1000 Guineas in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The Coolmore team sets their fillies for the 1000 Guineas and they're tough to beat come May at Newmarket.
Interestingly, the 1000 Guineas was named according to its original prize fund. The race was initially worth 1000 Guineas, which is where the Guineas name originates.
1000 Guineas betting guide
There has been a good mix of favourites and longshots win the 1000 Guineas, which is great for bettors of all levels.
This is mostly because the field sizes for the 1000 Guineas are large compared to some other Group 1 races in the UK, with most Guineas' fields attracting between 15 and 17 runners.
Bookmakers are forced to offer better odds due to the size of the fields and bettors have been able to cash in recently.
Winter was a highly-regarded filly, but she was sent out at odds of 9/1. The Aidan O'Brien-trained runner wasn't the top pick for the stable, but some bettors rightfully identified the value on offer.
That was the second consecutive winner for O'Brien, who also trained 2016 winner Minding, which was well-found by bettors at 11/10.
It pays to follow jockey Ryan Moore, who won the 1000 Guineas in 2012, 2015 and 2016.
His biggest win came aboard Homecoming Queen in 2012 where the filly upset a talented field at odds of 25/1. That was before Moore was a legitimate superstar and bettors shouldn't expect a Moore-ridden thoroughbred to be paying long odds ever again.
The rule of thumb for betting the 1000 Guineas is to stick with the big stables. It's rare to see a small-time trainer take out one of the Classic races, especially the Guineas.
Barrier one is something to avoid in the 1000 Guineas. No horses have placed from the inside barrier in the last 10 years.
Seven of the last 10 have drawn in barriers 2-8.
1000 Guineas facts
The 1000 Guineas always attracts a big crowd, but the 1945 running was made even more popular.
Race organisers held the 1000 Guineas on VE Day (8th May) and the boisterous crowd was thriving throughout the day.
The fastest race time was set by Ghanaati in 2009, posting a time of 1:34.22, and only Legatissimo has come close since then.
20 lengths was the biggest winning margin, set by Mayonaise in 1859 and the longest-priced winner was Ferry in 1918, scoring at odds of 50/1.
Tontine won in 1825, but she didn't have to face a rival. The race was run in a walkover, which pales in comparison to the biggest field which featured 29 runners in 1926.
1000 Guineas lead-up races
The 1000 Guineas features many lead-up races, but the Fred Darling Stakes (1408m) and the Nell Gwyn Stakes (1408m) are the most popular.
Much like the 2000 Guineas, many of the top-performed fillies run fresh up in the 1000 Guineas, which can be used as a trial for the Oaks later in the season.
Bettors should note that 15 of the past 16 winners of the 1000 Guineas have placed at their previous start, so form is of the highest priority.
