Victories for The Famous Five and Montassib took our total profit in points up to 22.85 for this week. In Sunday's article, I've highlighted three horses to back across the flat cards at Doncaster and Naas, along with my final NAP of the week at Ascot. Here are my best betting tips for today.

1:55pm Doncaster - Mach Ten

I like the look of MACH TEN (6/1) in this three-year-old handicap. This son of Ten Sovereigns kept on well from the rear to finish fourth on his turf debut for Andrew Balding in October, and has since run twice on the all-weather for Karl Burke.

Mach Ten kept on well after getting outpaced on the bend at Wolverhampton. Last time out at Southwell, Clifford Lee's mount was hampered by winner Encomiare at a crucial stage and was still only beaten a length back in second. Burke's youngster has a high knee action and his pedigree suggests that testing ground will suit. He could progress quickly on turf during the spring.

2:35pm Naas - La Filomena

Joseph O'Brien has won two of the five renewals of the Devoy Stakes and I quite fancy his French recruit, LA FILOMENA (4/1). This daughter of Lope De Vega arrived from Jean-Claude Rouget's yard last October, so she's had the best part of six months to get used to her new surroundings.

During her time in France, La Filomena won twice around the left-handed track at Le Mans, with both victories coming over ten furlongs. On her final outing for Rouget, Dylan Browne McMonagle's mount placed third in the Listed Prix Melisande Stakes at Longchamp, where she got off to a sluggish start and hung right towards the rail in the closing stages.

La Filomena is a half-sibling to Epic Poet, who reached a mark of 110 in France, and her dam Sagaciously climbed to a triple-figure rating during her four-year-old campaign. Joseph was very complimentary about La Filomena during his pre-season stable tour. She's the one that I'll be backing.

3:20pm Ascot - Frere D'Armes

Dan Skelton is currently charging towards the Champion Trainer crown and FRERE D'ARMES (9/4) looks to have a fantastic chance for the Warwickshire handler.

Frere D'Armes has gone close a number of times off higher marks over the past 12 months, including here at Ascot in November, where he was beaten just half-a-length by the classy Boothill.

Two poor efforts around Cheltenham, a track that has never suited this seven-year-old, have helped Skelton's seven-year-old drop to a lowly rating of just 131. Good ground around Ascot will be much more suitable for Frere D'Armes and Harry Skelton has been riding out of his skin of late.

4:15pm Doncaster - Evocative Spark

EVOCATIVE SPARK (6/1) returns to the turf today, following a busy winter on the all-weather. Darryll Holland has been running his five-year-old over sprinting distances with claimers in the saddle, and this five-year-old son of Frankel has been finishing his races well to secure some creditable results.

Holland's gelding is much more effective on turf, having struck three times over seven furlongs during his career. Most of Evocative Spark's best form has come when there's cut in the ground and Jason Watson's mount is more than capable of winning this off a reduced mark of 76.
