Newmarket's July Festival continues with another excellent card on Friday, including the Group One Falmouth Stakes. ITV viewers will enjoy four races from flat racing HQ, while also heading up to York for two classy contests.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 14th July

Race 1 - bet365 Handicap Tips

Charlie Appleby won this race with a future Classic contender in New London and he'll saddle the top two in the market, with both Tagabawa and Local Dynasty likely to attract support.

I'm happy to give another chance to BURGLAR (12/1), who ran well for a long way on his handicap debut at Royal Ascot, eventually finishing ninth behind Desert Hero in the King George V Stakes. Having failed to see out 12 furlongs that day, the Gosden's drop their colt back down to a trip he won impressively over at Redcar in May and Rab Havlin's mount has just 9-0 to shoulder in this open-looking contest.

Race 2 - Epic Value Handicap Tips

Despite an 11-pound rise from the handicapper, I wouldn't be surprised to see ANOTHER INVESTMENT (7/2) go in again. Nigel Tinkler's four-year-old bolted up on the Knavesmire four weeks ago, securing his first victory over seven furlongs in truly spectacular fashion.

That performance fully warrants this step up to Class 2 company. Another Investment gets in at the bottom of the weights and Adam Farragher's claimer means he'll be getting almost a stone from his main rivals in the market.

Race 3 - Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes Tips

Based on her last two performances, Star Of Mystery will be very difficult to beat. I was going to back Soprano against the market leader, but now that George Boughey's runner has been taken out and the favourite is 1/3, I'll leave this race alone.

Race 4 - Summer Stakes Tips

Chances can be given to plenty in this open-looking Group Three and I thought MARINE WAVE (14/1) was overpriced at 14/1. Richard Fahey's filly beat another of today's rivals and future four-time winner, Radio Goo Goo as a juvenile last season and ran on well after a tricky start to finish third in a Listed race at Chelmsford on her reappearance.

Marine Wave bettered that result when second in the Land O'Burns Fillies' Stakes at Ayr last month, finishing a place ahead of second-favourite Royal Acclaim in the process. Stepping back up to six furlongs will certainly suit Oisin Orr's mount and Marine Wave wouldn't need to have improved much to get involved.

Race 5 - bet365 Trophy Tips

Having returned from injury with some strong performances on the all-weather this year, BERKSHIRE ROCCO (14/1) was backed into favoritism for the Howden's Handicap on 1000 Guineas day. Andrew Balding's charge ran rather tamely when tenth that day, but was only beaten seven lengths - a margin of defeat he repeated in the Northumberland Vase at Newcastle last time out.

The handicapper has responded by dropping Berkshire Rocco down to a career-low mark of 97 - 17 pounds short of the peak he reached in 2021. This gelding has plenty of back-class, having won a Listed race over this distance as a three-year-old. With the stable going well and recent Group One winner, Rob Hornby in the saddle, Berkshire Rocco could roll back the years and mount a winning challenge.
