After ante-post favourite Inspiral was withdrawn from the 2023 Falmouth Stakes, Via Sistina has risen to the head of the betting.

George Boughey's mare made a lasting impression on her reappearance this term, running away with a competitive Dahlia Stakes on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket. Earlier this month, Via Sistina travelled over to Ireland to pick up her first Group One victory, winning the Pretty Polly Stakes under Jamie Spencer.

Spencer has since copped a riding ban, but George Boughey is hoping that the suspension will be revoked under appeal and Spencer will be able to take the ride once again.

Via Sistina will wear the number six saddle cloth and break out of stall eight. Boughey's mare will also carry the blue and pink silks of owner Mrs R. G. Hilden.
