In a surprising twist, Nashwa was supplemented into Friday's Falmouth Stakes earlier this week.
John and Thady Gosden's filly enjoyed a superb three-year-old campaign last term, which featured an easy victory in the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Hollie Doyle's mount also picked up the 2022 Prix de Diane and registered placed efforts in the Epsom Oaks, the Prix de l'Opera and the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
Doyle's mount has disappointed twice this season, finishing fourth on her reappearance out in France before suffering a surprise defeat in the Hoppings Fillies Stakes at Newcastle last time out. Yet, connections have decided to stump up the supplementary fee for the Falmouth and run Nashwa over a mile for the first time since her three-year-old reappearance.
Nashwa will wear the number three saddle cloth and break out of stall four. Hollie Doyle will also carry the green and white silks of owner Imad Alsagar.
