York's popular Ebor Festival gets underway on Wednesday afternoon. ITV Racing fans have got five live races to enjoy, including two Group Twos and a stellar renewal of the Juddmonte International stakes.

Here are my best betting tips on day one of the Ebor Festival.

ITV Racing Tips - Wednesday 21st August

1:50pm York Symphony Group Handicap Tips

I'm going to back two at each-way prices on opposite sides of the track in Wednesday's opener, starting with LOOKING FOR LYNDA (22/1) - who was only beaten three lengths as a three-year-old in this contest 12 months ago, having been handed a tricky draw in stall one.

Karl Burke's gelding is a previous winner here at York and went close on the Knavesmire earlier this season, finishing a close second to the classy Clarendon House, before placing third in the Dash at Epsom. With both Clifford Lee and Sam James unable to do 8-5, Saffie Osbourne comes in for the ride on Looking For Lynda, who looks well-treated off this mark of 83.

Down in stall 18 we find another former course winner, SQUEALER (25/1), who suffered two narrow defeats off this mark earlier in the summer. Nigel Tinkler's sprinter was beaten a short-head by Navello at Windsor, before losing out by a nose to Brave Nation at Doncaster, giving plenty of weight to the winner on both occasions.

Rowan Scott's mount completely missed the break at Haydock last time out and couldn't recover, so I'm happy to put a line through that effort. A reproduction of his two previous efforts could see Squealer outrun his lengthy odds.

2:25pm York - Acomb Stakes Tips

The betting for Wednesday's first pattern race is dominated by two unbeaten colts. Ruling Court looked superb when making a winning start at Sandown. As did The Lion In Winter, when he struck on debut at the Curragh for Aidan O'Brien.

The winner will likely come from one of the two market leaders. However, with the rest of the field priced at 20/1 or bigger, there has to be some each-way value in this contest and the one I'm keen to side with is RAJEKO (25/1), for the in-form Michael Bell.

Bell threw his colt into the July Stakes on the back of a narrow maiden win at Windsor. At the half-way stage, Rajeko looked badly outpaced, but Oisin Murphy's mount kept on well to finish fourth behind impressive winner, Whistlejacket.

The form of that Group Two has been boosted plenty since and stepping up to seven furlongs should certainly suit this strong son of Kameko. James Doyle deputises for Murphy, who rides Jouncy for Juddmonte, and the Doyler might be eyeing an upset.

3:00pm York - Great Voltigeur Stakes Tips

Aidan O'Brien was very complimentary about Los Angeles and Illinois in his pre-Ebor Festival stable tour. Ryan Moore has opted to ride Los Angeles, despite that Group One-winners penalty for his Irish Derby success. Illinois will also carry a penalty for winning the Queen's Vase, but Wayne Lordan's mount remains progressive and quicker ground will suit him better than the market leader.

King's Gambit comes out best at the weights. Harry Charlton's star received a mark of 116 for his runner-up finish to Alflaila in the York Stakes and William Buick's mount remains on an upward curve.

The two Ballydoyle colts are confirmed stayers over this distance, whereas King's Gambit has to prove his stamina, making his current odds of 9/4 look skinny enough. Deira Mile wants soft ground and Space Legend may not be up to Group Two level. If Los Angeles was to touch 7/4, I'd back him, but as the market stands, this is a no-bet race for me.

4:10pm York - Stayers' Handicap Tips

With all eyes on Gordon Elliott's Samui at the head of the market, another Irish raider comes into this handicap a little under the radar. EXTENSIO (9/1) thrashed many of Ireland's top stayers under Joey Sheridan at Clonmel in September, before going close in the Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket, on what was his British debut.

Pat O'Donnell's daughter, Syliva has ridden Extensio on both of his starts this term - her only rides of the season - and the two were last seen claiming a comfortable victory in a 14-furlong Rated Race at Fairyhouse. Sheridan returns to the saddle for this tougher assignment and I fancy there's more to come from Extensio off this career-high mark of 85.
