The Dublin Racing Festival kicks off at Leopardstown on Saturday and ITV Racing viewers will be treated to a fourth clash between Galopin Des Champs and Fastorslow in the 2024 Irish Gold Cup. Five excellent races will also be shown live from Sandown on Scilly Isles Novices' Chase day, as well as three strong handicaps from Musselburgh.

Here are my best ITV Racing tips at Sandown, Musselburgh and Leopardstown.

ITV Racing Tips Tips - Saturday 3rd February

1:25pm Sandown - Novices' Handicap Hurdle Tips

Class usually comes to the fore in this novices handicap. Nicky Henderson will be represented by Jingko Blue, but I prefer the chances of Paul Nicholls' maiden hurdler, ONETHREEFIVENOTOUT (9/2).

Two years after winning a bumper at Worcester, Onethreefivenotout was pulled up on his hurdles debut at Chepstow. Nicholls' eight-year-old has since finished a close second in two competitive two-mile contests, losing out to a plucky four-year-old of Harry Derham's and Lump Sum, who came close to upsetting Jeriko Du Reponet at Haydock last weekend.

This step up in trip should suit Onethreefivenotout, who's been handed a kind opening handicap mark.

1:40pm Musselburgh - Frodon Novices' Limited Handicap Chase Tips

GENERAL OFFICER (7/2) threatened to upset Paul Nicholls' Tahmuras on his last start at Aintree and could give the market-leading Monmiral a good shock in our first race from Musselburgh on Saturday.

Donald McCain's seven-year-old went into that handicap on the back of a 15-length demolition job at Doncaster and continued his progression with a fine runner-up finish behind last year's Tolworth winner. Brian Hughes' mount won twice and finished a close second from his three starts over hurdles here at Musselburgh and early indications are that he'll be even more effective on the chase course.

A nine-day turnaround could be a little tight for SAINT SEGAL (9/4). On seasonal form, however, Jane Williams' six-year-old should take plenty of beating.

Saint Segal ran a cracker on his reappearance at Ascot behind Boothill, and looked on course to beat that same rival in November before a crashing fall at the last. David Noonan's mount valiantly attempted to chase down First Flow at Lingfield last time out, where a couple of sticky late jumps didn't help his cause. Saint Segal runs off the same mark on Saturday and I'm hoping to see Noonan give this talented chaser a confident ride.

2:15pm Musselburgh - Edinburgh National Handicap Chase Tips

We return to Musselburgh now, where I fancy a risky punt on the novice, BRANDY MCQUEEN (20/1). Harriet Graham's seven-year-old has done all of his winning north of the border, including a pair of impressive victories in handicap hurdles here at Musselburgh last term.

Following a dominant victory on his chasing debut at Kelso in October, Brandy McQueen finished a good third behind Trelawne over two-and-a-half miles at Kelso. Nothing went right for Graham's seven-year-old at Doncaster last time out, but switching back to Musselburgh is certainly a plus and, with Ryan Mania riding at Wetherby, former Champion Jockey Brian Hughes has picked up the spare ride.

2:50pm Musselburgh - Scottish County Handicap Hurdle Tips

Benson is a horse I've always liked and the top-weight is certainly respected. However, YOUR HONOUR (5/1) was mighty impressive when winning a Listed Handicap Hurdle in Ireland over Christmas and he could have been treated a lot worse by the British handicapper.

Gavin Brouder's mount jumped well from the front at Limerick, sprinting clear after the final flight to score by over five lengths. This five-year-old remains progressive over obstacles and makes his British debut off the same mark of 128 that the Irish handicapper has assessed him to be following that victory last time out.

3:10pm Sandown - Heroes Handicap Hurdle Tips

I remain a big fan of Ed Keeper, who would probably have held on to score at Cheltenham last time out, had he not almost fallen at the final flight. Backing a favourite in a 15-runner handicap hurdle around Sandown has never excited me though, so I've delved further into the market to find some each-way value.

GUSTAVIAN (25/1) drops back to hurdles on Saturday, after some decent efforts over fences this season. Anthony Honeyball's nine-year-old was progressive over the smaller obstacles before going chasing, placing in a competitive Class 2 off a mark of 135 on his last start in a handicap hurdle. Rex Dingle has chosen to ride Gustavian over stablemate Good Luck Charm, who I would have fancied on better ground. 25/1 about Gustavian is too tempting for me to pass up.

3:45pm Sandown - Masters Handicap Chase Tips

My final punt on Saturday will be on GROZNI (12/1), who's made a promising start to life with James Owen. Formerly trained in Ireland by both Denis Hogan and Charles Byrnes, Grozni kept on well from the rear to finish second to Twinjets on his stable debut in December, before losing out narrowly at Musselburgh on his most recent start.

Grozni won over three miles at Punchestown during his time in Ireland and Owen has booked Harry Cobden for the ride this weekend. He could be a dangerous outsider to look out for in Saturday's card closer.
