Doncaster's St Leger Festival continues with another strong card on Friday. Again, two Group Twos headline the action, with quality fields entered for both the Doncaster Cup and the Flying Childers Stakes. ITV Racing viewers will also enjoy the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes on Friday, along with a couple of middle-distance handicaps.

Here are my best betting tips at Doncaster on Friday.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 13th September

1:50pm Doncaster - Mallard Handicap Tips

It's been seven years since a three-year-old last won the Mallard, but I'm struggling to see beyond the two youngsters at the top of the betting. EAST INDIA DOCK (11/4) was my NAP of the day when he struck at Goodwood last time out, and James Fanshawe has booked Ryan Moore for this assignment.

East India Dock had been performing well in high-profile handicaps this season, despite still looking green and unfurnished. Fanshawes' gelding was much more professional at Goodwood, sauntering to a near five-length success with plenty of gas left in the tank.

Moore's mount is a powerful traveller with a nice turn-of-foot, so dropping back to 14-and-a-half furlongs won't be a problem. Even under a six-pound penalty, East India Dock looks well-treated.

2:25pm Doncaster - Flying Scotsman Stakes Tips

In what we now know will be his final year as a trainer, Sir Michael Stoute would love to see Jonquil hand him a sixth victory in this Listed race. The favourite looked good on debut, but this will be no walk in the park for Jonquil and I'd rather side with the experienced MR CHAPLIN (16/1).

Ralph Beckett's colt has won a six-furlong maiden and a seven-furlong handicap at Glorious Goodwood this season. Mr Chaplin hasn't really featured on his two previous starts in pattern company, but Rob Hornby's mount was drawn poorly at Royal Ascot and kept on well after a slow start in the Acomb Stakes last time out.

Horses with several runs under their belt often perform well in this contest and Mr Chaplin is sure to see out the trip. With bet365 offering three places, 16/1 is a tempting each-way price.

3:00pm Doncaster - Flying Childers Stakes Tips

Again, chances can be given to plenty in this wide-open Group Two. I'm just going to have a small bet on MAW LAM (20/1), who looks overpriced on what she's achieved.

A maiden winner at Thirsk, Adrian Nicholls' juvenile has since placed in the Hilary Needler, the Queen Mary Stakes and on her most recent outing against the colts in the Prix de la Vallee d'Auge at Deauville. Maw Lam is often slowly out of the blocks, but seems to run well when held up. There should be plenty of early pace for her to aim at on Friday and she'll be partnered by one of the best hold-up jockeys in the business, Jamie Spencer.

4:10pm Doncaster - Premier Fillies' Handicap Tips

Three-year-olds have won four of the last five renewals of this Class 2 handicap and CABRERA (2/1) looks like she'll take plenty of beating in this year's renewal. Ed Bethell's filly went close in several competitive maidens before opening her account here at Doncaster in July, comfortably seeing off a 94-rated filly of Sir Mark Prescott's.

Cabrera bumped into a well-handicapped Gavin Cromwell raider on her handicap debut at Newmarket last month, where the top two pulled some ten lengths clear of the chasing pack. Bethell's horses are going well at the moment and a four-pound rise might not be enough to stop Cabrera from going one better on Friday.
