Friday's Lucky 15 Tips & Horse Racing Acca (April 16)
Nye Bevan (2:25pm Fontwell)
Second season novice, who hadn't got within 18-lengths of the winners on his first eight starts over hurdles. Enjoyed three consistent runs in jumper's bumpers in the winter. Has since gone down by a neck to a favourite at Plumpton, and lost by half-a-length to another favourite at Newcastle. Travelled like the winner the last day, but pecked on landing the last and couldn't regather his momentum. This looks the ideal opportunity to claim that first elusive win.
Schiehallion Munro (3:15pm Ayr)
Has finished second under top-weight on his last three outings. Lost to Johnbb who placed at Aintree, and to Romain De Senam, who's placed twice in Grade Three Handicap since. Went down fighting to Court Master last time, who he was giving well over a stone to at the weights. Carrying 10-10 will make a nice chance, and while this is Listed class, it's no better than the races he's been running in all season. I expect Brian Hughes to make all, and they should be hard to pass.
Fete Champetre (3:50pm Ayr)
Has been very keen early on all three of his hurdles starts. Jumping has steadily improved. Finished third behind an odds-on fav and Barrichello two starts ago. Reversed that form with Barrichello in emphatic fashion last time out. Plenty of likely pace-setters here, and he could come through to pick up the pieces.
Sea Karats (4:35pm Newbury)
Full sister to Al Aasy, who won the Bahrain Trophy on just his third start for William Haggas. Bought for £500k at the sales in 2019, and has been handed Epsom and Irish Oaks entries. I don't mind taking John Gosden runners on first time out, as they usually improve, and both her main market rivals here are from that stable. Jockey and trainer in excellent form. A winning debut is expected.

Ruby's Festival Fancies - Cheltenham 2021 (Day 4 Tips)
Time | Friday Races | Ruby's Day 4 Tips | Place Bet |
13:20 | Triumph Hurdle | Zanahiyr and reecent Adonis Hurdle winner Tritonic set the standard. I really fancy Zanahiyr who blew me away when he beat Saint Sam by 14 lengths at Fairyhouse and again at Leopardstown.
13:55 | County Handicap Hurdle | Ganapathai looks to have a live chance. He's a novice on a rating of 140, a good jumper and is progressing. The track and the trip should suit.
14:30 | Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle | I like the way Paul Nicholls' Barbados Buck's has been winning his races but N'golo could be suited by the trip up to three miles and has a good each-way chance for Willie Mullins.
15:05 | Gold Cup | The hand of history is on Al Boum Photo as he looks to emulate Best Mate in recent times and win his third Gold Cup in a row. He's been there, done that at this track and the 3m 2f trip, but you can't say that yet about Champ and A Plus Tard.
15:40 | Hunters' Steeple Chase | Billaway had an advantage when Patrick Mullins was due to ride him but that's gone now. Paul Nicholl's Bob and Co looks a viable alternative.
16:15 | Mrs Paddy Power Mares Chase | A competitive contest for the new racec on the card. There's lots of really good mares in it but I love Elimay. She will be really hard to beat.
16:50 | Martin Pipe Hurdle | The final race of the Cheltenham Festival and it can go the way of Willie Mullins' Galopin Des Champs. The step up to 2m 4f now should suit. He's got a great each-way chance.
