2027 Champion Chase Entries

All eyes were on Majborough going into the 2026 Champion Chase. However, it was his unheralded stablemate Il Etait Temps who ran out a hugely impressive winner, and Willie Mullins' diminutive grey now tops the early betting for this season's Queen Mother.

Kargese took the scalp of Kopek Des Bordes when the two met in the 2026 Arkle Challenge Trophy. They could both be aimed at the Champion Chase this season, while Majborough is another possible contender, although he seems more likely to step up in trip. Willie Mullins accounts for four of the first five in the ante-post market.

2025 Champion Chase winner Marine Nationale could represent Barry Connell again, while Henry De Bromhead's Koktail Divin and Gordon Elliott's Romeo Coolio are other possible runners. Lulamba and L'Eau Du Sud would be the leading British contenders if either is kept to two miles this season.

Noel George could be represented by French Grade One winner Metronomique, while Gavin Cromwell's mare Only By Night also features in the betting. Other potential contenders include Joseph O'Brien's Solness, Jax Junior for Lucy Wadham, Dan Skelton's Grade One winner Mirabad and another pair of Willie Mullins inmates in Salvator Muni and Kappa Jy Pyke.
