The biggest event in South African horse racing takes place at Greyville on Saturday, as 18 of the continent's finest thoroughbreds battle it out in the 2026 Durban July. Three-year-olds dominate the betting for this year's renewal, with Daily News 2000 winner Star Major leading the way in the market. Fellow three-year-olds Note To Self and Wish List will represent leading trainer Justin Snaith, who runs five in Saturday's feature. Viva's Liberte will also represent the Classic generation, a Regulation, Zeitz and Native Ruler lead challenge for the older horses.
