2025 Dubai World Cup Entries
Forever Young came out on top in a titanic battle with Hong Kong legend, Romantic Warrior to win the Saudi Cup last month. Yoshito Yahagi said immediately after that stunning victory that Forever Young would bid for a cup double at Meydan, and Japan's top dirt racer is the early odds-on favourite to win this year's Dubai World Cup.
Imperial Emperor jumped up to second in the betting following his runaway triumph in the Al Maktoum Classic on Super Saturday. Bhupat Seemar's five-year-old had finished second to Walk Of Stars in the Al Maktoum Challenge, and he also sits prominently in the Dubai World Cup betting, despite a lengthy defeat behind Forever Young in Riyadh.
America's leading hope is Todd Pletcher's Mindframe, who finished second in the Belmont and Haskell Stakes last year and ran out an easy winner on his prep-run at Gulfstream this month. Saudi Cup sixth Rattle N Roll looks set to represent Ken McPeek, with Arthur's Ride and Saudi Crown also possible runners for Team USA.
Ushba Tesoro ended Japan's long wait for a Dubai World Cup win in 2023, but hasn't recaptured that form since. Crown Pride will be looking to bounce back after poor showings on his last two starts. Japan could be further represented by Wilson Tesoro and Ramjet, who kept on to finish a fourth and sixth respectively in the Saudi Cup.
