ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 3rd December

Race 1 - Many Clouds Chase Tips

Sam Brown (w/o Ahoy Senor)1:30pm Aintree Boylesports Many Clouds Chase (Grade 2) 3m1fGET 9/2 HERE

This is a really tricky one, for me, because I'm a huge fan of Ahoy Senor. I genuinely believe he has the raw ability to contend in a race like the Cheltenham Gold Cup. He is, however, erratic. While Ahoy Senor is undoubtedly the most talented horse in this race, he's more than capable of throwing in another stinker - as we saw in the Charlie Hall Chase - which makes his current price of 5/4 look mighty skinny.

With little to be gained from placing an each-way bet and my hesitancy to side against Ahoy Senor, I'm going to back SAM BROWN in the "betting without the favourite" market.

Anthony Honeyball's charge romped to victory in the Betway Handicap Chase over this course-and-distance back in April, and returned to action with an excellent run in the Charlie Hall, where Richie McLernon's mount was only beaten four lengths back in third. I'd rather back Sam Brown at 9/2 in the "betting without Ahoy Senor" market, than take 8/1 in the regular betting.

Race 2 - Henry VIII Novices' Chase Tips

If JONBON runs and jumps like he did at Warwick on debut, he'll win this comfortably. There's no value to be found in any of the other markets. This will be a no-bet race for me.

Race 3 - Becher Chase Tips

A six-year-old has never won the Becher Chase, but that hasn't stopped punters from piling in on Gesskille, following his runner-up finish around the Grand National course in last months' Grand Sefton. The Skeltons have celebrated big-race success on ITV Racing the last two weekends and their runner, Ashtown Lad also sits prominently in the betting.

Race 4 - Betfair Daily Rewards Handicap Hurdle Tips

LOVE ENVOI enjoyed a superb novice campaign last season. Harry Fry's mare was unbeaten in five starts on British soil. Love Envoi collected two Grade Two prizes, winning the Jane Seymour over 20 furlongs here at Sandown, before dropping down in trip to land the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Fry rolled the dice and sent his Cheltenham winner to Fairyhouse for the Grade One on her final start. Love Envoi's unbeaten run may have come to an end, but there was no shame in finishing second to the talented Brandy Love. Jonny Burke's mount now makes her return in handicap company, and the favourite should have the beating of this fairly modest field.

Race 5 - Boylesports Handicap Chase Tips

I like backing runners who come from off the pace at Aintree, and an abundance of front-runners should ensure this race is run suit the closers. Riders Onthe Storm has only been put up two pounds following his win in the Old Roan, so he could be well placed to go in again.

KNIGHT IN DUBAI will also be suited by the way this race is likely to be run. Dan Skelton's nine-year-old hasn't won since December 2019 and struggled last term, after returning from a 600-day layoff. Knight In Dubai did run well on his reappearance at Bangor last month, where he stayed on to place second under a welter burden of 12-00 and he's certainly well-handicapped running off his current mark of 131.

Race 7 - Boylesports Handicap Hurdle Tips

Having missed his intended comeback at Newbury last week, WALKING ON AIR is taken to make a winning return to action at Aintree.

Nicky Henderson's charge looked impressive when winning on his hurdles debut at Newbury last season, before being pulled up in the Grade One here in the spring, where inexperience cost him dearly. Henderson claimed in his stable tour that Walking On Air could be a sneaky contender for the Stayers' Hurdle this season. If he is a Grade One horse in the making, then James Bowen's mount should win this off an opening handicap mark of just 132.

Race 8 - London National Handicap Chase Tips

Revels Hill will carry an extremely short price into Saturday's final ITV race and Harry Fry's favourite is greatly respected. As is course specialist Deisa Aba, who was only beaten a nose by Highland Hunter in this race 12 months ago.

Having travelled like the most likely winner throughout last year's contest, ECLAIR DE GUYE jumped the last in the lead. Lucy Wadham's eight-year-old got in a little tight and landed steeply, halting his momentum and opening the door for Highland Hunter and Deisa Aba to forge clear.

Following that excellent third-place finish, Eclair De Guye ran poorly in the Sussex National and at Lingfield in December, before rounding off his campaign with a decent second round a sharp track in Warwick. Like last year, Wadham's eight-year-old comes into the London National fresh and Harry Cobden's mount is rated seven pounds lower than when he placed in this race 12 months ago.
