2024 Champion Chase Entries
El Fabiolo saw off Jonbon to win the Arkle 12 months ago. Willie Mullins' star has bolted up in both the Hilly Way Chase and the Dublin Chase this season and El Fabiolo will enter his first Champion Chase as the 2/5 favourite.
Jonbon had bounced back from that Arkle defeat with three impressive Grade One victories. Nicky Henderson's star blotted his copybook with a shocking round of jumping when beaten by Elixir De Nutz in the Clarence House Chase, after which Jonbon drifted out to 4/1 for the Queen Mother with some firms.
Dinoblue sits third in the market, but looks much more likely to enter the Mares' Chase on Gold Cup day. Gentleman De Mee could join stablemate El Fabiolo in the feature on day two of the Cheltenham Festival, along with Irish counterparts Captain Guinness, Fil Dor, Maskada and Ferny Hollow.
Alan King's Edwardstone and Harry Fry's Boothill look likely to fly the flag for Britain in the Champion Chase. Elixir De Nutz will run, following his Grade One win at Cheltenham. Editeur Du Gite, Amarillo Sky and Nube Negra also feature in the entries.
