2025 Champion Chase Entries - Jonbon heads list of 26 initial entrants
The 2025 Queen Mother Champion Chase features a formidable pool of 26 entrants, led by Jonbon, a dominant force in Britain’s two-mile races for three years. This year's contenders include Energumene, Gaelic Warrior, and El Fabiolo, all managed by Champion Trainer Willie Mullins. The race also sees competitors like Banbridge, Il Est Francais, and Captain Guinness vying for victory. Other notable entrants include Edwardstone, Boothill, and new challengers from Irish trainers, setting the stage for a thrilling competition at the Cheltenham Festival.

The 2025 Queen Mother Champion Chase has attracted 26 entrants, with market leader Jonbon set to head the home challenge.
Nicky Henderson's star has ruled the two-mile scene in Britain for the best part of three years now, winning three Celebration Chases, two Tingle Creeks and the Shloer Chase twice. The one thing missing from Jonbon's resume is a Cheltenham Festival victory, but Henderson's star looks set to face a strong field in this year's Champion Chase.
Willie Mullins accounts for six of the entries. Two-time winner Energumene will be hoping to get back to Cheltenham, having missed last season through injury. Arkle winner, Gaelic Warrior and last year's beaten favourite, El Fabiolo have also been entered by the Champion Trainer.
The top two from last month's King George, Banbridge and Il Est Francais have been entered in the Champion Chase, the Ryanair and the Gold Cup. Jungle Boogie has also been given multiple entries by Henry De Bromhead, who could also be represented by last year's surprise winner, Captain Guinness.
Joseph O'Brien's Solness could bid for a Grade One double, having scored at Leopardstown over Christmas. American Mike, Found A Fifty, Quilixios and Marine Nationale could also represent Irish connections.
Edwardstone and Boothill have spent the last two seasons following Jonbon home and both have been given Champion Chase entries. Haldon Gold Cup winner, JPR One could join Nigel Twiston-Davies' duo of Master Chewy and Matata in the Queen Mother field. Djelo, Martator, Kalif Du Berlais and Libberty Hunter also feature in the entries.
