2023 Irish Champion Stakes Entries
King Of Steel and Auguste Rodin will square off for a third time in Saturday's main event at Leopardstown. Aidan O'Brien's star got the better of King Of Steel when winning the Epsom Derby. Roger Varian's three-year-old then finished third in the King George at Ascot, as Auguste Rodin failed to fire.
The two three-year-olds sit atop the betting ahead of Alflaila, who returned to action with a fine victory over My Prospero at York in July. Last year's runner-up, Onesto makes the trip over from France again and Frankie Dettori will take the ride in his final Irish Champion Stakes.
Hollie Doyle will reprise her partnership with Nashwa, who runs again following an excellent runner-up finish in the Juddmonte International Stakes. Last year's winner, Luxembourg will also represent the older horses, along with stablemate Point Lonsdale.
Al Riffa will return to Group One company on day one of Irish Champions Weekend. Jessica Harrington's Sprewell also features in the field.
