A Plus Tard came through late on to pip Kemboy and Melon to the post in this race 12 months ago. Henry De Bromhead's charge then finished second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and bolted up in the Betfair Chase on his reappearance, and will likely carry an odds-on price into battle as he returns to Leopardstown.

Sitting second in the betting is Galvin, who was narrowly beaten by Frodon in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase last time out. Gordon Elliott will also run Delta Work, who won the Savills Chase in 2019 before following up in the Irish Gold Cup.

Willie Mullins will be represented by reigning Irish Gold Cup winner Kemboy, John Durkan runner-up, Janidil and last year's third in this race, Melon. Astrion Forlonge and Tornado Flyer also feature in the betting, but they both look set to run in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Elliott could throw both Battleoverdoyen and Samcro into the mix. Willie Mullins' sixth entrant, Franco De Port rounds off the Leopardstown betting.
