The 2024 Dubai World Cup Carnival rolls into its fifth week on Friday. Viewer have got another valuable card to take in, which is headlined by the Group Three Dubai Millenium Stakes.

Here are our best betting tips on week five of the Dubai World Cup Carnival. 

Dubai World Cup Carnival 2024 Tips - Week 5


2:40pm Meydan - Jumeirah Fillies Classic Tips


The first four weeks of this festival have, again, been dominated by Charlie Appleby. The former British Champion Trainer looks set for another profitable afternoon on Friday, starting in the Fillies' Classic with CINDERALLA'S DREAM (10/11).

William Buick's mount won both of her starts on home soil last season, scoring on debut at Lingfield in May, before returning in September to win a second novice race at Thirsk. Buick has opted to ride Cinderella's Dream over Beautiful Love, and the Norwegian hasn't got many decisions wrong so far during this meeting. The favourite should take plenty of beating.

3:50pm Meydan - Dubai Sprint Tips


Buick and Appleby will be represented here by Mischief Magic, who finished well over five furlongs last time out. The former Breeders' Cup winner has got a quality rival to contend with in the form of George Boughey's WALBANK (9/4), who struck in a handicap on his Dubai debut last time out.

With William Buick in the saddle, Walbank was backed into favouritism ahead of the AZIZI Venice handicap during week one of the DWCC and ran out a commanding winner, beating the classy Yonafis when giving the runner-up three pounds. Amo Racing's new retained rider, David Egan travels over to Meydan to take the ride on Walbank and Boughey will be pleased with his draw in stall seven.

4:25pm Meydan - Dubai Millennium Stakes Tips


If their market leader is turned over in the sprint, then I'll be expecting Appleby and Godolphin to bounce back straight away, as NEW LONDON (5/6) carries the tag of favouritism into Friday's feature.

New London has only run three times since losing out to Eldar Eldarov in the 2022 St Leger, suffering two narrow defeats at Newmarket last term. While he has won over 12 furlongs and gone close over the St Leger trip, New London is three-from-from overthis distance and I don't see anything being good enough to stop him from maintaining that 100% record.

5:00pm Meydan - Lincoln Race Tips


After riding a couple of high-profile winners on UAE soil in recent weeks, Connor Beasley will fancy his chances aboard ISLAND RULE (11/1) in this wide-open handicap.

Ahmad bin Harmash's seven-year-old boasts a good record over the seven-furlong strip at Meydan, having won the Graduate Stakes and placed second three times in five efforts over this course and distance. Island Rule has run well on his first start in each of the last two seasons and is handicapped well enough to win this race off a reduced mark of 95.
