Following a stunning six-length triumph in the King Edward VII Stakes, Calandagan suffered narrow defeats in both the Juddmonte International and the Champion Stakes at Ascot. Francis-Henri Graffard's stable star was last seen finishing second again to Danon Decile in the Sheema Classic, after which connections said that the Coronation Stakes was his next target.

Sitting closest to Calandagan in the market is St Leger winner Jan Brueghel, who returned to action with a runner-up finish over ten furlongs last month. Giavellotto claimed his first Group One win out in Hong Kong in December, but has five lengths to find on Calandagan from their clash at Meydan.

Irish Oaks winner, You Got To Me could have her first start in the colours of Amo Racing at Epsom on Friday. Rebel's Romance could drop back down in trip following his victory in the 14-furlong Yorkshire Cup. Kalpana could be stepping back ip in distance, having placed third on her return in the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

Illinois and Los Angeles are entered, but both will likely wait for Royal Ascot. As will John Murphy's Group One winner White Birch. Joseph O'Brien's Al Riffa is a possible runner though, with Tower Of London also likely to make the trip over from Ireland.

Jockey Club Stakes winner, Bellum Justum and last year's Derby runner-up, Ambiente Friendly seem likely to take up their entries on day one of the Epsom Derby Festival. Other potential runners include Charlie Appleby's Ancient Wisdom, Sunway for David Menuisier, and Tasmania for Sir Mark Prescott.
