2024 July Cup Entries

Inisherin will bid for two Group One wins in a row, having scorched to victory in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. Vandeek, who was beaten by Inisherin on his reappearance at Haydock, was forced to miss Ascot due to injury, but could return in time for Newmarket.

Ed Bethell will step Regional back up in trip, following a runner-up finish in the King Charles III Stakes during the Royal Meeting. English Oak looks set to enter Group One company, having destroyed his rivals in the Buckingham Palace Stakes handicap.

Jasour, an unlucky third in the Commonwealth Cup, will represent Clive Cox. Ralph Beckett's multiple Group One winner Kinross could reappear quickly after his return to action in the Chipchase Stakes. Aidan O'Brien, meanwhile, could be represented by former Coventry Stakes winner River Tiber.

Like Vandeek, Bucanero Fuerte and Elite Status could run at the July Festival after both missed the Commonwealth Cup. Back-to-back Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes winner, Khaadem has been entered by Charlie Hills. Other possible runners include Jane Chapple-Hyam's Mill Stream, Royal Scotsman for Paul & Oliver Cole, Karl Burke's Swingalong and two-time Group One winner, Art Power.
