2024 Christmas Hurdle Odds - Lossiemouth fav over Constitution Hill and Sir Gino

The second Grade One to be staged on the opening day of Kempton's Christmas Festival is the Christmas Hurdle. This top two-mile hurdle has been won by plenty of Champion Hurdlers down the years and three key contenders for next year's renewal of that Cheltenham Festival race currently head the market.

Here's the latest betting for the 2024 Christmas Hurdle and a look at the headline entries.

Nicky Henderson is yet to confirm which of his star two-milers will contest this year's Christmas Hurdle. Constitution Hill seems to have recovered from the knock that ruled him out of the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and Henderson seemed keen to run his former Champion Hurdler. In Constitution Hill's absence, Sir Gino was rerouted from novice chasing to pick up that Grade One, and could run in the Wayward Lad Novices' Chase if his stablemate is fit.

Heading both of Nicky Henderson's stars in the market is two-time Cheltenham Festival winner, Lossiemouth. In a bid to keep her away from State Man, Willie Mullins is keen to run his Hatton's Grace winner at Kempton on Boxing Day - providing no problems are getting her over from Ireland.

After the top three in the market, there's then a huge gap in the betting until we reach Greatwood Hurdle winner, Burdett Road. Jeremy Scott could be represented by Mares' Novices' Hurdle winner Golden Ace, following her defeat over a longer trip in the Coral Hurdle.

Kerry Lee has entered Kingwell Hurdle winner, Nemean Lion. Dan Skelton, spying an opportunity to pick up some extra prize money, could be represented by three-time chase winner, Calico.
