2025 Yorkshire Oaks Tips - Any value against Minnie Hauk at York?
The York Ebor Festival's second day is set to thrill with the famous Yorkshire Oaks race. This year sees an interesting mix of entrants including favorite Minnie Hauk, a tough competitor having recently outperformed Whirl. However, the potential of an upset comes from Garden Of Eden, presenting a fascinating opportunity. Despite a small field of only four horses, the involvement of seasoned trainers like Aidan O'Brien ensures a captivating race. Weather conditions may influence results as some contenders like Estrange might struggle with firm ground.

- We're chancing Garden Of Eden at an each-way price
The second day of York's Ebor Festival is headlined by the Yorkshire Oaks. Unlike the Epsom and Irish Oaks, older horses can take on the three-year-olds in this Group One, but it's still one of the Classic generation that dominates this betting heat.

2025 Yorkshire Oaks Odds

| Qilin Queen | 10/1 |
| Garden Of Eden | 16/1 |
2025 Yorkshire Oaks Runners
Just four runners have been confirmed for the Yorkshire Oaks - a hugely disappointing turnout. Yes, there is prize money for the first six places, but a fifth-place finish is needed to cover the £8k entry fee, and when Aidan O'Brien still has six or seven possible runners at the five-day stage, there's little incentive for lesser trainers to take a punt.
O'Brien will saddle two of the four runners, including Minnie Hauk. Ryan Moore's mount got the better of Whirl when scoring in the Epsom Oaks, but wasn't as impressive when beating a lesser field in the Irish equivalent.
Estrange is the leading home contender, as David O'Meara's grey looks to make it three wins from three this term. Qilin Queen steps back up to Group One level after a hard-fought success in the Prix de Malleret. Ribblesdale Stakes winner, Garden Of Eden completes the line-up.
2025 Yorkshire Oaks Tips
I had intended to take Minnie Hauk on. While clearly a huge talent, Minnie Hauk doesn't seem the type who'll ever win emphatically and I fancied she could get caught out in small-field, tactical affair.
Estrange is the obvious alternative. Yet, David O'Meara has said that he won't risk his stable star on ground with firm in the description, and that's exactly what he's faced with. Qilin Queen would also prefer extra cut in the ground, so there's little point backing Ed Walker's youngster.
Wayne Lordan will be tasked with making the running on GARDEN OF EDEN (16/1). Ryan Moore gave her an expert ride when scoring in the Ribblesdale, but the pair couldn't repeat that feat when last seen in the German Oaks, where Garden Of Eden failed to get into the race from off the pace.
The ground was soft at Düsseldorf, and Garden Of Eden didn't seem to enjoy it. Qilin Queen will likely sit close to the pace, but there is a small chance that Lordan could stack the field up behind him before attempting to hang on from the front. If Minnie Hauk isn't totally on her game, here could be an upset.
