ITV Racing Tips - Tuesday 27th December
Race 1 - Juvenile Hurdle Tips
I'm intrigued to see how POSTMARK copes on his first start over hurdles. A winner on the level for Ralph Beckett, Frankie Dettori rode Postmark to victory in the Racing League on his first start for Milton Harris back in August. Harris always gets his juveniles jumping well and I wouldn't be surprised if this well-bred son of Postponed mount a serious challenge.
Race 2 - Handicap Chase Tips
I thought FUGITIF shaped with plenty of promise on his reappearance at Cheltenham. Richard Hobson's seven-year-old boxed on gamely to finish a close second behind Amarillo Sky, who went on to boost that form with an emphatic victory at Newbury during the Coral Gold Cup meeting.
Fugitif has only tried a trip over two miles once, finishing a distant fourth behind L'Homme Presse in last year's Scilly Isles. The time now seems right for Hobson to step his stable star back up in distance and Fugitif looks very well treated off his current mark of 133.
Race 3 - Wayward Lad Novices' Chase Tips
Boothill tops the betting, following his runner-up finish behind Jonbon in Grade One company. I'm keen to take on the favourite, though, and the best alternative is LAC DE CONSTANCE.
Dan Skelton's six-year-old is unbeaten under rules. Lac De Constance won all three of his starts over hurdles last season and looked impressive in seeing off two rivals on his chase debut here at Kempton. This horse clearly has a fantastic amount of ability and Harry Skelton's mount could be hard to catch if allowed to dominate from the front.
Race 4 - Finale Juvenile Hurdle Tips
Scriptwriter defeated Perseus Way to land a Grade Two at Cheltenham last time out and both are greatly respected. However, in recent years, juveniles in Ireland have been better than their British counterparts and COMFORT ZONE brings some solid form to the table.
Rated 85 on the flat, Joseph O'Brien's raider beat a future winner by six lengths on his hurdles debut at Navan last month. Comfort Zone then ran in the Grade Three at Fairyhouse less than a week later and did well to finish third behind Lossiemouth and Zarak The Brave, having been boxed in against the rail for much of the race. Jonjo O'Neill Jnr has ridden a Cheltenham Festival winner for Joseph O'Brien and I'm expecting that combination to taste success again on Tuesday.
Race 5 - Mares' Handicap Hurdle Tips
WHITEHOTCHILLIFILI captures my imagination at a tasty price. Harry Fry's mare ran very well on her reappearance at Sandown earlier this month, where he kept on to finish third behind Coquelicot, despite tiring a little in the closing stages.
A Listed winner at Sandown in January 2021, a run of eight straight defeats leave Whitehotchillifilli running off a lowly mark of just 127. If Fry's mare has improved for that return to action, I could see her vastly outrunning her current price.
Race 6 - Handicap Hurdle Tips
JUST A DIME comfortably saw off rival Flemenstide when the two met at Exeter last season. Ben Clarke's charge was getting seven pounds from Paul Nicholls' runner that day, but saw out the three-mile trip much better than his rival and third-placed Trelawne has come out and won on his first start of this season.
Ben Jones' mount was dropped to 19 furlongs on his reappearance at Carlisle and ran well from the front to finish second. Stepping back up to three miles will suit this winning point-to-pointer and Just A Dime looks very well-handicapped running off this opening mark of 119.
Race 7 - Desert Orchid Chase Tips
Edwardstone is clearly going to be very hard to beat in this Grade Two. Nube Negra is always at his best first time out, but Dan Skelton's runner had such an easy race in the Shloer Chase last month, I doubt it would have taken too much out of him.
At the prices, I'll chance my arm with FUNAMBULE SIVOLA. Venetia Williams' star won a Grade Two last season, before finishing a fortunate second in the Champion Chase. Funambule Sivola was hampered a couple of times as he finished last of six behind Edwardstone in the Tingle Creek and I'm expecting Charlie Deutsch's mount to step up his game considerably.

Race 9 - Handicap Chase Tips
Five Star Getaway won this race 12 months ago and Christian Williams' charge returns to Kempton running off the same mark. The defending champion has a quartet of impressive last-time-out winners to contend with in Your Darling, Fern Hill, Fontaine Collonges and Larry, while the likes of Remastered and Flegmatik look to be in with a good chance.
This race looks incredibly competitive, so I'm just going to have a small each-way bet on TILE TAPPER. Chris Honour's eight-year-old is yet to fulfill the promise he showed earlier in his career, but I felt Tile Tapper ran a cracker behind the well-handicapped Shakem Up'Arry on his reappearance and this step up to three miles should bring about further improvement.
