2025 Hunters' Chase Entries

The Cheltenham faithful were shocked into silence last year, when odds-on favourite Its On The Line was pipped to the post by Fiona Needham's mare, Sine Nomine

It's On The Line went on to score at Aintree and is favourite to go one better in this year's Hunter Chase, following a good second at Down Royal over Christmas. Sine Nomine has been running in open company this season and still sits prominently in the market, despite failing to finish either the Listed Mares' Chase at Market Rasen or the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby.

Two big springers in the market have emerged in recent weeks. The first of those was former Kim Muir winner Angels Dawn, who is two-from-two in point-to-points this season. Sean Doyle's Willitgoahead was then backed into single figures following an excellent victory at Thurles in January.

Big Interest beat Its On The Line over Christmas and could be David Christie's leading contender in 2025. Terence O'Brien's Con's Roc also has a big win on his seasonal CV, having seen off Willitgoahead at Limerick's Christmas Festival.

A winner at Cheltenham's April meeting, Fairly Famous could represent the Andrews family. 2023 winner, Premier Magic will likely return for another crack. Other possible runners in the amateur's Gold Cup include David Christie's pair of Winged Leader and Ferns Lock, Gracchus De Balme for Hannah Roach, and Phil Rowley's Stratford winner, Forest Chimes.
