2025 Champion Hurdle Entries - Constitution Hill heads list of 16 entrants
The entries for the 2025 Champion Hurdle have been announced, revealing an exciting lineup of contenders. Among the 16 entries are leading mares Lossiemouth and Brighterdaysahead. Constitution Hill, an unbeaten star under Nicky Henderson, is the front-runner, having already showcased his prowess in previous races. Willie Mullins has added Anzadam and Winter Fog, while other notable entries include Sir Gino, Golden Ace, and an unexpected entry from Japan, All The World. The event promises fierce competition and thrilling performances.

16 initial entries were made for the 2025 Champion Hurdle today, with top mares Lossiemouth and Brighterdaysahead both included in the list.
Lossiemouth, who cruised to victory in the Mares' Hurdle 12 months ago, was pointed at the Champion Hurdle over the summer and remains on-course despite that defeat at Kempton over Christmas. Constitution Hill saw off Willie Mullins' raider to win his third successive Christmas Hurdle and Nicky Henderson's unbeaten star is the odds-on favourite to regain his Champion Hurdle crown.
Defending champion, State Man has been beaten by Brighterdaysahead on both his starts so far this term. Gordon Elliott's mare flattened State Man when they met over Christmas and could now head to the Champion Hurdle, despite Michael O'Leary claiming that the Mares' Hurdle remains the objective.
Willie Mullins has handed further entries to impressive Grade Three winner, Anzadam and Grade One regular, Winter Fog. Kargese and Kitzbuhel could also represent the Champion Trainer. King Of Kingsfield and Senecia have also been entered by Irish connections.
Nicky Henderson has entered Arkle favourite Sir Gino, should anything happen to Constitution Hill. Harry Derham's Brentford Hope and James Owen's Burdett Road could also represent Britain, along with Mares' Novices' Hurdle winner, Golden Ace and Kerry Lee's stable star, Nemean Lion.
The only surprising entry was All The World - a Japanese eight-year-old who has won three times over hurdles on home soil, and finished third on his most recent start in the Grade Two Tokyo High-Jump in October.
