Cheltenham Day 1 Tips - 9/4 NAP of the day in the National Hunt Chase
As the 2024 Cheltenham Festival is set to commence, all eyes are on the National Hunt Chase, featuring anticipated two-horse race. One to watch out for is Embassy Gardens, who after a pull up in the Albert Bartlett last year, has shown significant improvement this season with victories in larger obstacles. With Corbetts Cross's sketchy jumping record, the stakes are high for Embassy Gardens. The Festival is also offering free bet offers for new and existing customers.

Cheltenham Day 1 NAP Of The Day - Embassy Gardens
This year's National Hunt Chase is shaping up to be a two-horse race. Derek O'Connor rides Corbetts Cross, who finished second to Grangeclare West in the Neville Hotels at Leopardstown over Christmas.
While Corbetts Cross has won over fences and placed in a Grade One, his jumping has been sketchy at best. Emmet Mullins' charge fell on his prep-run for Cheltenham at Fairyhouse last month, after jumping sideways into Run Wild Fred at the fourth-last. He's by no means bomb-proof.
Neither is EMBASSY GARDENS (9/4), who was pulled up in the Albert Bartlett 12 months ago. Willie Mullins' eight-year-old got lit up in the parade ring that day, ran far too keen throughout the contest and Paul Townend admitted defeat a long way from home.
Half the field failed to finish last year's Albert Bartlett, so Embassy Gardens wasn't the only promising horse to underperform. Mullins' star has cut a more mature figure this season, winning both of his starts over the larger obstacles.
Embassy Gardens' breeding screams staying chaser. He's by a brilliant sire in Shantou, who always puts plenty of stamina into his progeny. His dam, Adriana Des Mottes was a Grade One winner for Willie Mullins over hurdles, was sent over fences as a four-year-old and finished fourth behind Don Poli in the 2015 Brown Advisory Novices' Chase on her final racecourse appearance.
Embassy Gardens ran out an easy winner at Punchestown in December, and produced an improved performance to thrash Sandor Clegane at Naas last time out. Patrick Mullins' mount wants soft ground around a galloping track, and that's exactly what he'll get in the National Hunt Chase. Embassy Gardens didn't handle the Cheltenham atmosphere as the Gold Cup approached 12 months ago, but the parade ring will be much calmer ahead of the final race on Tuesday evening.
