Gordon Elliott was still searching for his first winner of the week as Teahupoo led the field into the 2025 Stayers' Hurdle.
Jack Kennedy's mount remained the bookie's favourite, as he attempted to defend the crown he won 12 months ago. Elliott also saddled the second-favourite, with many predicting The Wallpark could upset his stablemate.
Nicky Henderson was hoping for a change of luck in the Championship races as Nico De Boinville partnered Lucky Place. Bob Olinger was backed into single-figures before the off, with money also coming for Joseph O'Brien's Home By The Lee, who was having his fourth crack at this Grade One.
Willie Mullins stepped former Grade One winner Mystical Power up in trip for the first time. Rocky's Diamond and Buddy One bolstered the home challenge, with Crambo, Gowel Road, Nemean Lion and Ga Law also featuring in the field.

Gowel Road was sent straight into the lead by Sam Twiston-Davies, who held a four length lead going into the opening flight. Rocky's Diamond sat second early on, with Crambo and Lucky Place in the second-rank. Teahupoo was kept fairly wide early by Jack Kennedy, with Rachael Blackmore biding her time on Bob Olinger at the rear.
Rocky's Diamond moved up to pressure Gowel Road as the field descended the hill for the first time. JJ Slevin was happy to sit near the rear for much of the first circuit. Teahupoo remained wide too and Jack Kennedy's mount made a slight error during the first circuit.
The first bit of drama came at the seventh flight. Crambo took a crashing fall on the final flight of the home straight. The Wallpark was impeded and Home By The Lee was brought down as a result.
Racing towards the third-last, Gowel Road and Rocky's Diamond still lead. Lucky Place wasn't particularly fluent along the inside, and The Wallpark hit a noticeably flat spot as he attempted to make ground from the rear.
The Wallpark was following Teahupoo into contention. The two Gordon Elliott horses moved into the lead on the approach to the final flight. Suddenly, Rachael Blackmore came there pulling a cart aboard the mercurial Bob Olinger, who jumped into the lead at the final flight.
There wasn't an instant reaction when Bob Olinger hit the front, but Blackmore was quick to get to work. Teahupoo could offer no response on the short run to the line, as Henry De Bromhead celebrated his first victory in the Stayers' Hurdle.
The Wallpark kept on to finish a distant third, ahead of Rocky's Diamond, who capped his breakout season with a fourth-place finish at the Cheltenham Festival.
